He has the deluded ego and arrogance, but no one is debating whether he’s worthy to be a top 3 P4P boxer. He tries desperately hard to 1 up Floyd, but Floyd was already top 5 P4P at Shakur’s current age. He likes to blame everyone else but himself. Shakur is a good technician/pure boxer, but he has no special effects.
I'm curious to see what comments are made when Shakur and Tank finally meet and produce a "Fight of the Year" type of fight based on both fighters' performances....

I like Shakur and think he's very skilled. I also think he produces a lot of less than exciting performances.

It is true that some of this blame can be placed in the opponent who doesn't possess the ability to make it interesting but it can also be placed on the fighter who does have the ability to make it interesting (Shakur).

You can put on boxing masterclasses, not get hit and gain the appreciation of some of the fans but there are others that prefer to see something else.

Throws the same combos over ans over again with zero power. Tank, Loma even Pitbull would beat him. He'd run for his life against Tank and Pitbull and lose via decision.. And he's too basic for Loma.

Him and Haney are proof that you either have punching power or you dont. Them dudes have ZERO sting on their punches even if punched with perfect technique.

Shakur, Foster, Farmer, Broner, to name a few are talented, take no risk fighters, who are great remedies for insomnia. He had Crawford who couldn’t sell a ticket if he gave away the best ganja on the planet as a bonus. According to Bob, they offer no entertainment value, and would only put fans in the seats at a Insomnia convention.

If I was a promoter, I would never give Shakur a minute of thought to signing him. I’m sure Arum has no regrets his contract is over. There’s a reason why Arum has never been high on black, take no risk fighters of today’s era. But, Bob drools over Mexican fighters who have pride and are high risk, action fighters. Im sure Bob would give up smoking weed and lying if he could have an entire stable of Mexican fighters.

Stevenson doesn't have that killer instinct or the punching power required to keep fans entertained. It's like he has approached the professional game with an amateur mentality.

I agree and it's probably too late for him to change his attitude. Floyd would NEVER speak to his uncle or dad like that in the corner despite accomplishing way more than Shakur at his age, but in Shakur's mind, he knows everything, nothing is his fault and he can do what he wants. Something tells me that Shakur is mentally weak and when he steps up his competition against a Tank, Pitbull or Loma, his mental weakness is going come out and he is going to get very frustrated and lose his composure. Andre Ward should have a chat with Shakur about improving his attitude and see if he can make some positive changes in the way he conducts himself. The other concern I have with Shakur is that while he was prepared to stand in front of Artem and block/parry shots, I suspect he will get on his bike and run against a Tank where it will be difficult for Shakur to win rounds.

Does he not respect anyone, even the guy who got him into the sport anf nurture his talent? You would never hear Andre Ward speak with Virgil Hunter like that.
You never heard Ward speak to Virgil Hunter like that because Virgil was useless in the corner and probably not a fan of Ward’s dirty fighting.

The real problem last night was Shakur wasn't prepared to go for the knockout.

If he adds that to his arsenal, that would make all the long drawls of pure defense worth it.

Bud needs to teach him right.

I'm sure glad Pernell Whitaker didn't come up during this day and time. He'd have no chance.
