Maybe the Judges felt neither landed enough clean hard punches.
Foster was not being aggressive, so you can't say effective aggression.
He was moving a lot, some may consider that running & not really defense
Ring Generalship for many usually defaults to the come forward fighter, so in this case.....
Not writing I agree with the outcome, just a theory as to why.
Conceicao did NOT win that fight, he wasn’t better. BUT, he was the one making the fight. He made the fight happen. He pretty much made the fight. He tried. But he failed. The judges still rewarded him.LITTLE JOE

Guys like Foster need to understand that if you're not the star fighting the way he fought against a busier fighter will often times lead to a loss.
Deflecting with the shoulders and hands doesn't look as good at ringside as it does from TV. Often times it hard to tell if the punch landed at ringside.
If you do fight that way you have to land hard, consise punches that buckle the legs, snaps the head back, or makes the opponent retreat.Last edited by SilverMiles; 07-06-2024, 10:18 PM.

Only saw the final 4 rounds but Foster looked in control and Robson looked dejected. Assuming general sentiment is correct, I feel for Shock. He's had to grind his way up to the top after some early setbacks.
It's a cautionary warning that you can never rely on the judges to appreciate your work.

Pure robbery!! Having said that, Foster had the abilities to turn it up and stop Robson and he chose not to. Fighters can no longer assume they are winning and that falls on boxing and scoring. Feel bad for Foster he lost what belonged to him and wrongfully goes home without the title.

I didn't get to see the full fight, so I can't really say if it's a robbery or not. But hope Foster gets the rematch if he got an unfair decision that took away his world title. He looked like he pretty untouched as if he could had gone another 12 rounds.
But in the bright side, at least the Co-main didn't put a high expectations for the main event.Last edited by J.C. Superstar; 07-06-2024, 10:18 PM.
