Claggett is tough as nails and always tests his opponent's mental resolve and cardio. Lopez passed those tests, but Teo also showed his boxing isn't his best and his power hasn't really carried. Gone are the highlight reel KOs against the likes of Magdeleno, Menard and Commey. Claggett doesn't go down easy but he is there to be hit and Lopez hit him clean with his hardest shots and rarely dented him.

      Teo at 147 ? I don't think that it's a good idea.

It would seem like a decent theory but, although judges gave him the 10 and Loma the 9 for the first six inactive rounds, he didn't shine against Loma.

        Maybe shined against Taylor.

I didn't follow him before the v Loma, but since then Lopez hasn't done much shining at all.

It looked like that to me too , like Claggett was fighting and Teofimo was doing some light sparring.

Teofimo could just be over rated. He's explosive, athletic, blah, blah, blah , so are a lot of guys. That doesn't mean that they are P4P fighters , and neither in my opinion is Teofimo. Yeah , he knocked a lot of guys out on the way up , mainly, the usual suspects who come in against prospects to be knocked out. Then he barely skates past an injured and undersized Lomachenko. Since then , he looked good against Taylor , and that's about it. It could be argued that Taylor is past his prime, life outside the ring, and making 140 was tough for him. Teofimo seems to me like a guy with some athletic gifts, and he's a decent enough fighter but just not all that he has been made out to be.

teo looks average on purpose otherwise the bigger names would just duck him completely

They aren't fighting anyway. Outside of Lomachenko , he hasn't fought any big names.

You mean put him in there with a Taylor coming from a lopsided loss and out of the ring for 16 moths so looks shot, and an injured Loma for which i had a draw?

Just face it, Teo is shlt. He fights any fringe level guy he's getting beaten like he has a few times. The only reason he got those victories was due to corruption. But world class fighters? They'll do even worse to him. This "He fights to the level of his opponents" is nonsense. He's just not good. Sorry, but your insecurity over your ethnicity won't change that.

I agree his power is not as shocking as it was at 135 Teo is a hot and cold fighter..
How many bad performances do you need to see before you realise Teo isn't a top fighter? It has nothing to do with hot or cold.

I am always amused when a great fighter gets beat, he was suddenly injured all along. E.g. Lomachenko.

There's always the "I was injured before the fight" excuse to fall back on, and has been used to ad nauseam. E.g. Does anyone actually believe Liston's hurt his shoulder before Clay 1?

Give Lopez his due. He beats Lomachenko 8 out of ten trys. He was too big, too strong, and a good enough boxer to take Lomachenko.
