My grandfather had a racehorse that beat the local hacks like they were standing still, he took him to the fast track class in the big city and he looked like the hacks he beat at home.
I was very young but never forgot that lesson.

I don’t see Teo being able to take that power and pressure. He’s never beat or even fought anyone like Matias. And like we saw in the Kambosos and Ortiz fights, when Teo runs outta ideas he looks extremely basic

Yet his father asked for 7 mil for that fight.

But that happened before Lopez fought the reigning champion. Taylor was the champion (even though it should have been Catterall) and Lopez beat him. Whatever Lopez did before that fight is irrelevant.

I hope he fights Catterall next because Catterall deserves a shot at the real championship. But as it stands, it's Lopez and that's all there is to it. Cruz, Matias, and Haney have belts that were all stripped from Taylor; Lopez beat Taylor in the ring. End of story.
Technically it should have been Martin fighting and defeating Taylor lol but it is what it is. Also loads of fans had Jamaine Ortiz beating Teo after Teo got the belt. As it stands there is Lopez by default but Matias should be second for sure even though loads of fans have him at number 1. Haney lost and Cruz beat Rollie (who everyone not name Rollie knew he was a joke) so those 2 are definitive paper champs now unless Haney gets back to the win column with a good win over a good fighter. Cruz needs to fight a legit 140lb also to solidify his status at140lb and i also think Catterall need to be next for a championship but i think his got a trilogy fight with Taylor next so it will be a while before he can be in the mix again which is sad for him.

It sounds like his father is asking for retirement money, or life insurance money, and I don't mean that literally.
Asking for that amount of money indicates that he knows just how risky the fight is for his son, almost as if he's cashing out.

I think the pressure coming to him is an ideal fight for Teo; the movers will give him way more trouble, the thing is can Subriel take Teos power as he hasn't fought anyone near it.

And Cruz needs to fight Barroso, who got screwed over badly. Barroso should be champion now.

140 is a disaster. Frankly, Matias is the only credible champion right now in the division for me.

I really think that Teofimo is on his way out, I mean choosing Steve Claggett, show's just how spooked he was of losing his last two fight's.
He definitely isn't "The Take Over" anymore, he's more like 'The Taken Over', he's nothing special to watch anymore.
Him, and his father are more like a clown act, they're just not a pair that you can take serious.
Teo Jr. doesn't have it anymore, and the less said about his father the better.

Those aren't local hacks that Matias is beating, they are proud undefeated fighters, who were highly rated at the time, from around the world.
Those same fighters that you're comparing to hack's,can on any given day give anyone in the division a hard fight, if not beat them.

I don't see it but Im comparing the best guys, so far Matias hasn't been in with an elite guy, undefeated doesn't reflect your class the guys he has beaton are all around Paros level, good solid fighters but all the top guys would go through Subriels resume just as easy maybe not stopping them all but that's just a style thing, not a measure.

I like him and his hand speed is excellent for the power he has, but he hasn't fought anyone of note, yet.
