Was a catchweight since the beginning.

    Edit:

Vergil's frame got bigger, the last time he fought comfortably at 147 was in 2021 against Mean Machine. The health issues, long term camps and inactivity on the ring likely also played a role on why he can't cut down 147 again.

This is his body frame in 2020.

    This is him today.

I'm curious for this fight to see if he's still the same guy he was. This opp is a setup opp for an early KO so if Vergil has problems or doesn't KO him then dude might not even be the same guy anymore after all his health issues.
I agree. This is an easy 1 for Ortiz. I forsee Golden boy finding someone to give him rounds next fight. Then after that if they feel comfortable then theyll get him a title fight.

If I had to bet, Jermell is not going back to 154. 160 is likely his next home. Crawford moving up to 154 really changes things though.

Be nice to see him healthy and hungry. He is still way young, easy decade of boxing left in him if he is able.

The fact Mell has lost another belt is making me think he might be done at 154 too. There are clear distinctions between 154 & 160 right now tho & if money is his primary or main desire 154 is where its at. Tim has gotten quite the following in Australia & Bud is at peak popularity so those are two good money fights for him & 160 is filled with talented guys with no name value therefore less money.

You lost interest because you were never a fan of his to begin with. You're just a casual race fan with an anti-black agenda. The worst type of casual that knows nothing about boxing.
