Yeah well good thing the laws in sensible countries are not heavily dictated by religious texts in this day and age unlike some Islamic countries

Good thing in sensible countries we don't punish people by these old methods just because they don't follow the rules of an archaic book that's never evolved.

Sensible counties is probably the wrong term because there's not much sensible about society in the west these days, but i mean in terms of some degree of sensibility within the law, regulations etc..


All these religious texts are archaic, that's not the point nor the problem. Building your laws and justice around it is a different matter, which is why they're still stoning women to death in some Islamic countries.


Sure you can take two old scriptures and compare then 1:1 and see major similarities. It means nothing though if you completely miss out the facts of how they're implemented today in some societies and how they're used to teach people how to practice and the consequences if they don't...
