It's almost like they're judging each individual on a case by case basis, instead of a wide sweeping brush...What does cheering for those 4 guys and not cheering for Tank have to do with anything?

Are they judging on a case by case basis? I've seen numerous comments mocking the faith as much as the man. I'm not asking anyone to cheer for anyone but at least be consistent don't mock Davis and use his criminality to justify it, then support boxers who themselves were involved in criminal dealings. Be consistent, which boxing fan's seem to be unable to do.

It's because Davis is a consistently violent and negligent criminal and also incredibly ******. It's hard to take anything he does as sincere. Whereas Ali was incredibly thoughtful and intelligent and willing to stand behind his beliefs. It was incredibly obvious Ali was sincere.

It's not necessarily that he's converting to Islam, it's that he's touting his piety when everyone knows what kind of person he really is. I would react the same way if he suddenly announced he were a born again Christian or an Orthodox *** or a Mormon. He's a woman-beating, drunk-driving, negligent moron. He lacks credibility.

Muhammad Ali has done so much for the sport and life in general but was Ali without fault? Was Ali not accused of domestic abuse by an ex wife? Was he not a notorious womaniser? Furthermore, did he not racially demean men of darker colour by perpetrating negative stereotypes? I'm not a fan of Davis actions but not going to morally grandstand when I watch a sport where the underprivileged give each other brain damage.
