What I don't understand is how African Americans who were mostly descendant from west Africa and were mostly not ****** gravitate to that religion when most of the slave traders that sold ****** to the Europeans or led them on raids to obtain ****** were Islamic. Islam has a long history of slavery even before the discovery of the Americas.

Not only that, they're not even depicted in Islamic books in a positive light.
