Of course, he was a fairly easy target with no movement and obviously never going to hurt Inoue. His lack of any use of the jab also pretty much allowed Inoue to pick his spots. But Tapales made some adjustments and at least attempted to make Inoue work for it. I am not sure, but I think I saw Inoue break into an actual sweat around round 7. Not a ton of people get to say that.
I think you saw things clearly.
Tapales frustrated Inoue to the point where he started taking a lot risks, even swinging wildly
and leaving himself wide open. Have we seen that against anyone else?

Tapales fought hard and earned a lot of fans tonight.

But spence wasn't a pfp no5 guy that night. Bu d can only best what's in front of him. That no5 pf p guy didn't show up. It's not buds fault.
Just like if usain bolt runs 11 seconds in 100 metres, that wouldn't be the real usain bolt, who we know can run 9.58.. We'd assume bolt was injured

Ok, Spence being on any top 10 p4p list was a joke.

Inoue is a beast, but he's also much bigger and powerful than his opposition. Tapales did a great job and there's definitely space for an overhand bomb when Inoue throws his jab and his straight right. We've seen it with Donaire, and now again with Tapales, with less power though. If the monster keeps going up in weight he might find someone that can take his onslaught and also unleash a more powerful response. That being said, if he keeps fighting only champions and many times per year then I think he earned the right to lose one or two fights. This guy is going for greatness, and I'm quite sure he will go for the champions at Featherweight. Wood, Figueroa, Foster and Espinoza. Neither wood or Foster have any chance, Figueroa and Espinoza maybe. We'll see.

The Filipinos keep talking about cashimero this cashimero that but they had a better fighter to cheer for all along. I wonder what would have happened if he fought Fulton instead of Inoue. First Pinoy undisputed champion?
Tapales beats Fulton every day of the week

Naaaa… there were tons of questions after the fact about Spence’s condition regarding the weight drain and overall well being recovering from those accidents. Heck, he was slurring the F out of interviews leading up to that fight. Inoue Numero Uno.

Can you please explain a little more what adjustments Tapales made?

Two-weight undisputed within 12 months, that's very impressive

Spence was literally dropped from almost every P4P list after that fight. Why?

Because his performance proved he was overrated by every US media. In reality Spence was seen to be on the similar level as Porter. A good fighter, but clearly not P4P top 5.
