As far as Tarver being tested, I'd say Eric Harding, Montel Griffin, Roy Jones and Glen Johnson makes him far better than 99% of Calzaghe's opponents.
I agree it would have been good for Joe to get some names like that on his resume as-well, I do it's a shame. But that doesn't mean he's not better than Tarver and those guys. I'm afraid I see Antonio a little like Oscar. A very good fighter whom faced some big names, got some very good wins, but at the absolute top level and against real classy operators, just comes up short quite often.

I don't think he slowed down loads and don't think it'd be to a large enough degree Tarver would really take advantage. Johnsons aggressiveness seemed a little more clever against Dawson and for me that would have just been enough to over whelm an older Tarver, as it did a younger, quicker, better Dawson he almost beat.
Very good wins I don't disagree. But do any of them beat Calzahe, Hopkins or Jones?
