I never posted anything like that. That is why I called you out for lying and projecting that reasoning on to every black fan.
More lies and fake garbage.
You didnt watch the fight so there is no point in continuing to discuss it with you.Poopdick likes this.

I was pulling for Steph and naturally disappointed to see Steph get knocked out. I thought he started to get into a better grove for a few moments as I was hoping he would be able to make his mark in the fight. He had a great run, but I don't think it is over. I think he can pick up the pieces and win more titles. That's what I'm hoping for his career to continue at a high level. But damn, that was a nightmare machine that he was in with. I can see Inoue obliterating this division and the next one up. His reaction time and power are amazing. But it is a sad state when so many racially triggered statements are made on this boxing board. I can't keep up with them all. No restraint on harmful words coming out of people.Last edited by richardt; 07-25-2023, 12:16 PM.

Oscar Valdez at 130 would be a very tough matchup. Maybe Navarette would just swarm him.

Gauntlet definitely thrown down. Four division champ across weight classes spanning 5 divisions, 20-0(18) in title fights, went straight for the unquestioned #1 guy in the weight class as the smaller guy, and dominated him decisively. Power clearly carried up to 122. Spence or Crawford winning a close fight isn't to be enough to unseat him as #1 in my book. That's a massive achievement. Bud is the only one who really has a chance IMO as he could be first to double undisputed, and he's also the smaller fighter. Usyk would also have a shot if Fury would ever fight him.
But even then, Inoue is just steamrolling the best guys across the weight divisions. The other guys aren't making it look this easy. I wish Chocolatito hadn't ducked him. That's would have been an epic fight.

put 20lbs on Inoue, he wont be as fast anymore.
Let's say Spence is 122lbs instead of 147lbs, he's no longer as physically strong
A beterbiev at 147 lbs doesn't have the same power as he does at 175
I understand people say it's all relative and it would be relative to the weight they're at if they're all the same size but relativity isn't linear, theres way too many variables for it to be linear.
A big part of what makes a fighter fight how they do is their natural physical construct, biomechanics wtc...and if you change that, they're not the same person anymore, thus not knowing if they would be a good fighter or not if they were essentially different person who was naturally much bigger or smaller than they are as we know them.
In short, pound for pound is a lot of nonsense that can't be measured factually and makes no scientific sense. So it comes favouritism or whose achievements you like.
But scientifically it makes no sense because you would essentially be requiring people to be a completely different person with a different physical construct and completely different biomechanics. all that would remain the same would be their name...
It's a question of who did you fight, how did you beat them, when did you fight them (ie were they shot or post prime or just prospects or coming off a bad loss), how long did this last for - ie were you a 2 year flash in the pan or a ten year phenom, and how many weight classes did you conquer.
All of that can be discussed and debated by reasonable boxing fans. Favoritism has no place in such a discussion - or if it does then just don't even discuss it.
It's a lot of work to take all of that on board but I'd suggest Inoue with this latest victory is passing all of those criteria. More so than Usyk and personally I don't rate Spence as highly as others as he has fought legit good fighters at 147 but apart from Mikey hasn't dominated them like Inoue. Bud has moved through 3 weight classes and a win over Spence makes him dominant in 3 weight classes which is really something.Last edited by SteveM; 07-25-2023, 12:34 PM.
