I don't think Crawford-Spence going to sell too well on PPV...

Hey guys, I'm honestly shocked the lack of awareness in the general people who have absolutely no clue who Crawford or Errol are. Within the past 3 weeks, I've brought up the fight in various conversations to co-workers, people at my gym, and not one person knew who they were. I even asked one dude who came over my house for the Ryan Garcia-Tank fight and he said he was just a casual, lol. While I'm Okay that he was honest and admit that and the reason he didn't know Errol-Crawford, the fact that he did know Garcia and Tank enough to drive over a few towns away to watch the fight at my place, he had no clue who Errol and Crawford were, lol. You would think at some point watching maybe Garcia-Tank promo information that Crawford-Spence might of came up for their own respective fights at that time. Nada apparently.

My general point here is, if this fight is truly lacking the casuals support, I'm not sure it's going to hit big numbers. Casuals knew Pac-Fraud Jr. and paid up for it. If this is truly a fight for the fight fans, it won't crack big numbers. I'd think it would be lucky if it hit a mill.

Agreed. I’m running into the same thing. This fight is for hardcore fans and some of their friends lol. With that said, I’m not really worried about the sales as much as I’m worried about both fighters going all out. Even though they have the temperament for a great battle, there’s always the thought of the rematch clause impacting performance.

    Hopefully I’m wrong!

Who cares about Spence and Crawford except "diehard" boxing fans?

Even 800k PPV would be huge success for them. I expect around 750k.

I dont think so either. Im thinking 600k. We'll see if the pbc machine promotes tf outta this thing. Hardcore fans love this, casuals, not too sure..

Ya think??? Neither guy is near as known as Canelo, Mayweather, Tyson or Delahoya.

I think future PBC fights will sell

              Spence-Crawford: 750k
              Canelo-Charlo: 950k
              Benavidez-Munguia: 150k
              Tank vs Pitbull 2: 300k

PBC is marketing this fight heavily in the same areas it always does. Urban radio being one example.

Many of my casual fan friends have talked about it and ask if I am having a fight party.

I think PBC needs to expand its marketing and promotion of this fight to reach other groups, especially those that only know about PBC through Tank fighting Ryan Garcia.

Yeah, I know this fight is 100x better than Ryan-Tank and normally I also don't care about PPV numbers. Though the direction we've been going lately with the best fighting the best, especially at the highest level, having them happen more will depend on how much PPV $$$ they can score by putting these together.

If it's worth one of the guys finally taking their L vs the return on investment for putting the fight together. It's more of an issue for the promoters because if they have their guy take an L and the PPV doesn't do big, now the guy that took the L may not draw much crowds fighting low key opponents as he did prior with his zero intact. Naaahmean?

This brings us back to, lets just milk our guy until he's towards the end of his career before we feed him to potential sharks out there.

Good luck to them on that strategy. In the Seattle area, I haven’t seen even one ad for the fight and it’s less than 3 weeks away.
