      This is all in addition to the racist (yes, racist) laws in our own country that made the prison population skyrocket into the millions for the first time and something we have never recovered from since (and yes, it's racist when the drug laws were so unfair to black & latino's).

      Fuck Reagan. Period. People act like just because he's dead he should be remembered as a good president. **** no, he ruined this country and Bush I, Clinton, Bush II and yes, now ***** are carrying on his same policies.

        Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

              A break? 2 years on top of what he's already done is still B.S. If Kirkland were a few shades lighter it would have been time served and probation. See that's the problem in the country. ********** are expected to live with the fact that they are judged differently and are supposed to accept it.

                well, he did a great deal to end the Cold War, inflation dropped from 12.5% to 4.4% in his last year in office, and the unemployment rated decreased by about 2%. Those are solid numbers, and Nobel Peace Prize winners have contributing his policies to the boom in the 1990s.

                and Id just like to point out this accusation about 'racism' regarding the difference in sentancing between crack and *******. I cant stand it how people look at that and scream RACISM!!! Crack is a more dangerous drug than ******* and has a number of other negative side effects that ******* doesnt. not to mention that during the time that Reagans War on Drugs was taking place, there was a crack epidemic, crack was exploding all over the place...not *******. of course they would want to beat it down.
                not to mention that crack is easier to get addicted to because its effects are more instantaneous AND its cheaper to distribute for dealers.

                and whats more, ******* usage has plummited since the War on Drugs was started in 1986.

                and you know what, even if it was somehow racist, it helped black people. black people convicted for drug usage has decreased over the years, while white people convicted for drug usage has increased over the years.

                  Show me a case in Texas where a convicted armed robber gets caught with possession of an unregistered loaded weapon gets off with time served and probation.

                  I'll save you the time because you can't. White, Black, Purple or Yellow you can't.

                  This is not a race thing. It is an ignorance thing. Quit trying to use race as a crutch. That crutch usually breaks on people before they succeed anything substantial.

                      A convicted felon carrying around a weapon isn't serious? Maybe if he didn't have an armed robbery charge I'd have sympathy for him.
