The truly great fighters test themselves against the best possible opponents all the time, and because of that, they lose occasionally. Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong, Willie Pep, all lost periodically throughout their careers. I suppose you think they were all lousy fighters as well.

Mosley is ranked no 1 WW at the moment, you have said you want the biggest challanges on your comeback, you are a WW so you should logically fight the no 1 WW to prove whos best. Plus hes calling you out since well before the hatton fight. Both of you are 1st ballot hof'ers and both american so the fight will be big and you wont fight mosley!!!! Manny could fight a host of other fighters at 147 on down. There are other welterweights for Cotto to fight including rematches with Shane Mosley and Margarito who he can take the lionshare of the money against. Floyd has positioned himself in a corner when it comes to viable options. The public only bought the fight because of his absence. Another opponent who is smaller and has no chance of winning isnt gonna sell to the non-boxing public. All roads lead to Shane no matter WHAT he talks about. Arum is gonna screw him in the end. WATCH.

Shane isn't a threat? That's the same thing people said before the Margarito fight. What I fail to understand is how so many people are underestimating Shane's chances. Shane is the biggest threat Floyd will ever face. He let Corley knock him out on his feet and Zab dropped them, and neither were the caliber fighter that Shane is now. And Shane will beat Floyd. Floyd isn't avoiding a fight with Shane because Shane turned him down. Floyd was telling Arum to make a fight with Oscar YEARS ago and it didnt happen yet he fought him. Floyd is avoiding hard fights with viable opponents. Please don't say Bruseles, Corley (after a loss), Gatti, Mitchell, and Judah (after a loss) were viable opponents. Judah was a never was, Gatti was C fighter, and the only reason I didn't throw in Baldomir was because he was the lineal champ. Floyd will NEVER fight a welterweight his size. Not gonna happen. WHEN Cotto destroy's Manny, Floyd will outprice himself at the negotiating table to avoid the fight. Shane is the only one that wants to fight Floyd to say he beat him, not just for the payday so his pride will make him take short money just to get the fight. Shane is his ONLY real option.
