Khan couldn't beat Algieri impressively, even with his supposed "improvements" under Hunter. Why does anyone think he would have a chance against Floyd?

Sounds more like a Mayweather hate piece than a Khan farewell article. And didn’t Khan get dropped and almost stopped by a lightweight Julio Diaz?

Nevertheless, when Khan exited the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas that summer night after dispatching Zab Judah in five rounds – the same Judah who’d gone 12 with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and beaten a then-fearsome Lucas Matthysse – I was as sure as I could be that he’d be the next big thing.

Floyd fought Judah in 2006 at 147 Amir fought him in 2011 at 140. There is absolutely no comparison. You shouldn’t be a boxing writer if you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Should have just titled this article: I hate Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd could fight against fast out-boxers aggressively. Zab Judah outboxed him in the first two rounds and May completely changed his style. He became a pressure counter-puncher and beat Judah. Khan would give May some problems but these wouldn't be unsolvable.

I think in the case of Khan vs Mayweather is that Khan would have troubled Mayweather early in the first 4 or 5 rounds but Mayweather out conditioned and out thought a lot of his opponents. Khan is no different. He would have engaged with Mayweather over time and eventually got knocked out. Mayweather would've starting potshoting Khan with those right hands after 5 rounds then stopped him within 10 or 11 rounds. However, Khan would have made a great payday on his way to getting beaten up.
