Joshua is good, but nothing like a Lewis.

Lewis’ two losses were avenged by ko. Lewis was the best ever to come from that side of the pond and arguably the best heavyweight of his generation.

Yeah Lewis was far more talented, Joshua is much closer to Bruno than he is Lewis.

I'm not much into mythical matchups but I'd be curious to see what David Tua would do in this era. Granted I think he had a rib injury when he fought Lewis but I wonder if today's top guys could handle him.

Tua beat John Ruiz, Hasim Rahman, Oleg Maskaev, and Michael Moorer by KO and got a draw with Rahman the second time, in addition to going the distance with two more heavyweight champions (Lewis and the admittedly light punching Chris Byrd).

I think he'd knock Joshua out cold. He was better, meaner, more proven, and a bigger puncher than Andy Ruiz.

I agree he stretches AJ. I think he beats Wilder (I don't recall Tua ever being hurt in a fight) but may have issues with Fury's size, range and movement.

                  - - AJ ain't never been one punched KOed like Lewie. Like Wlad, he's always been on his feet and defended his unified titles unlike Lewie who ducked the Ks, Ruiz and Byrd...you're welcome...

Let's be honest the older generation gets overhyped. The reality with Lewis is he was 1-1 with McCall, 1-1 with Rahman, lost in his prime to a finished Mercer (robbery) beat the shell of the ghost of Mike Tyson, and went 1-1-0 with Holyfield who lost tons of fights to mediocre opposition, then took an absolute pasting from Vitali, but got very fortunate with the lucky cut. Cuts are just luck and by chance if we are honest. Quality operator, but those acting like he'd be levels above today are kidding themselves. Any of today's top 10 HW's could on their day beat him. Nash out.
