Could the light heavyweight champion beat the heavyweight champion? Could the middleweight champion beat the heavyweight champion? No. The HW champion is the champion.

        Heavyweight boxing is boxing.

Weight, gender and disability limits give lesser specimens the chance to take part in the sport.

        But Heavyweight boxing is boxing.

it was prob a more enjoyable era for boxing because back then people didnt have the extent of entertainment we do today, so a good sporting event/boxing fight, was valued more. boxing was a bigger deal. you have to go out and buy the papers to read about it.

Do you think people in the 90s sat there doing nothing thinking "I wish someone would hurry up and invent smartphones"?

Naw, the best exponents of the actual art and science and craft of boxing haven't been heavyweights for a long time.

Lennox's resume absolutely shames that of Fury, Joshua, Wilder, and Ruiz combined.
Thank you for the list, because his statement was crazy. I'm not even a big Lennox fan, but he earned his props.

That's the reason I'm not a Lewis fan. Guy was rubbing those braids in the gash to make it worse. I thought it was poor sportsmanship. Box or don't box. It's not about winning on a gash.

Other reason is just because he was the UK guy beating Americans.

But still, he beat them, and he knew how to play his strengths.

I broke down that ****list of charles martin level 'champions'.
do some research. The weak paper champions of the 80s were mopped up by these new guys in the 90s. Lennox didnt need to do a lot. Like i said he only needed to beat a past it mike tyson and a post steroid using holyfield. Taking steds has short term benefits, long term it causes androgen resistence. Lennox was also clued up on every cheating tactic holyfield could use and had him neutralised.

Rate him highly, but ppl say hes a top 3 hw of all time as he was 'undisputed' and the best of a great era.

This era is much better, its just too stacked. Thats why i dont even want to praise fury yet.

Weve accumulated more forms of entertainment on top of the old...meaning were simply less bothered by each thing now.
in the 90s, posessing a cassette album meant a lot.
Now i can go on one telegram channel to have access to thousands of tracks and i wont ever listen to most of them more than once, let alone listen to them all. There are loads of channels.

The world is also mor globalised..and dazn is proof of that when youre watching a card from new zealand or uzbekistan.

In the early 00s, audley harrison won a wbf hw belt...and he was hyped in the ignorant media for it. We had lennox himself derping around on the bbc saying Audley was the future. Maybe standards were lower due to ignorance.
