why dont you worry about what you think, you're doing the same thing hes doing when you critisize him, hes angry because ppl are saying **** without a reason and just making idiotic comments like "manny wins because he is faster than pernell and we all know what happend when chavez fought pernell"
wuts chavez not being a 4 division champ have to do with anything?
and ppl dont like giving modern fighters chances against older fighters because we are in a less competitive time in boxing then in the past, the competition available now isnt as great as the competition before

    LMAO!!!

Although fantasy match-ups is the bread and butter of any boxing forum out there, you won't see me posting anything about these kind of topics, you know why? Because my take can't be proven right, nor wrong either, it's just a frickin' waste of time. You'll see a couple of posters siding with you because you took the old school boxer, does that make you feel good? Sorry, my self esteem is high enough, I don't need any assurance from others.

So, feel free to give your take, I don't care, as long as you respect somebody's take that opposes yours, it will be all good. Just make sure you'll pm in case your take was proven right! lolz

Pacman had no chance @ the same weight against Barrera, moving up in weight against Morales let alone DLH, Hatton, or Cotto. Yet I bet it was "know it alls" like you who said he had no chance to begin with and insulting all those with opposing views. It is a fantasy match up dork, you don't have to put up with **** but speculation. It is the same **** we've put up with guys like you for a long time. You can't handle our speculation than too bad because your the idiot in our eyes. At least we got proof you guys got excuses.

            Wicked sick!!!!!

            LOL

Fantasy matchups are opinion vs opinion. Now all those legends that step in the ring with PAC in reality got destroyed.

If you go againts their opinion they call your opinion ****** remarks. LOL how ****** can you get.

Manny will kill that overrated bum Chavez. Prime or not prime Chavez. Just don't doubt the king guys. The king can beat anyone who stand his way. Today's Pacman >>> any greats who fought 135-140. 147 is too delusional...

Many had opinions about what they thought the results of Pacman fights would be, look what happened to those, they became excuses. Working for Golden boy should make him anti Pacquiao right? Oscar hates Manny.

Mate, Chavez only finished fighting four years ago! Old school? There was no difference in training, techniques, anything from then until now. Boxing is the same then as it is now. Nothing different and Chavez is not old school.

For my money, I personally think a prime lightweight or 140 Chavez beats Pac pretty well. We're talking about possibly the greatest 140 pounder ever! He beat Taylor, however controversially, down badly. The speed that Taylor possessed was also, like it or not, quite a lot faster than Pac's combinations speed. Taylor was superhuman. On the Jones speed level. I personally think that Chavez's hugely underrated counter-punching skills and slipping ability would win him the day as well as his ability to take any shot that did happen to land.

Don't forget, we're not talking about the Whitaker Chavez or the Randall Chavez. He was somewhat past it by that stage and definitely past it by the time he fought Randall. We would be talking about a prime Chavez who, quite simply, was utterly brutal at those weights.

Go watch him completely take apart Rosario at lightweight, or brutalise Taylor at 140. But, I know that most people on this forum wouldn't accept that.

I agree wholeheartedly with this assessment.

Pacquiao is definitely the man right now there's no denying that. But his triumphs and victories were for the most part, easy pickings. I mean the next thing someone may say is that Pacquiao would have defeated the likes of Roberto Duran and Aaron Pryor also. The body of work in which Duran, Pryor, and even Chavez gained their triumphs and victories was far from easy pickings.
