If he does do it let it be vs someone bigger. Floyd vs McGregor was too big to pass up I'm thinking more on the lines of that fight

huge payday only way usman making more than 5m is is or a mcgregor fight we know thats out the ?. So canelo it is. . huge mma fan yet this is a murder in boxing Canelo ko rd 6. Only crossover worth it is ngannou vs aj or wilder. Aj has no jaw n less reach so fair chance its heavyweight , wilder has little technical abilities smaller in frame someone is getting ko those the only 2 crossovers worth paying it. Other than that make bellator vs ufc theres your +5m non mcgregor canelo fight for mma fighters

MMA "fans" say their sport is bigger than a dying sport in boxing, but their fighters are always calling out boxers. Why? Because nobody makes boxing paydays consistently over there besides the big name guys. Those guys come to boxing for big paydays and I won't knock them for it. The fights are usually pretty good when made.

Honestly wouldn't mind seeing it at this point.

So promoters paying 0-0 in boxing MMA fighters (in all but Conors case old, washed up and cut from the UFC) along with Youtubers and long retired 90s era boxers big paydays to just walk into PPV main events, which then outdraw most serious boxing matches, is an indicator that boxing is doing well and MMA isnt bigger now? why didnt this happen in the 90s? why doesnt the UFC bring in random celebrities and 40 year old boxing journeymen to main event PPVs every other month?

Canelo is going to make more than the entire payroll for the UFC PPV that may well outdraw him this weekend, and was paid iirc $35million the night he had to sit in his locker room while his own crowd finished watching a UFC main event. Fury and Wilder just got paid a ton to sell half as many PPVs as Conors last fight etc etc. The pay thing doesnt equate to popularity, its about how the businesses are run.

Think about it...what's an easier approach...stepping into the boxing ring or the cage? You're primarily using your hands in boxing but MMA comes with kicks, chokes, elbows, and so on...nobody's gonna sign up for that and have a fight end within one round. Nobody's gonna break their necks to pay for that.

Boxing is something most can "relate" to and most observers feel they can do it. It's much easier to try than MMA in my opinion...hence why we see football players, actors and other athletes trying to land on a decent card for exposure.

Wish these challenges came best out of 3. Each sport gets one fight and whichever of the two does best gets run back. Lots of fighters in both sports would get wrecked.

This year alone we've had a Youtuber vs Floyd, that Youtubers brother in two boxing matches with MMA fighters, almost 60 year old Holyfield vs an MMA fighter with a co-main of two MMA fighters fighting each other. And theres still other fights like these lined up for the year and some that were cancelled.

This sheer volume of circus bull****, and the fact that these are bigger than 99% of serious boxing matches, is a totally new phenomenon, and its bad.
People tend to focus on May, though.
Again, who in the hell would turn down that money ?!?!?!?
If people didn't want it, no one would show up.
