There's definitely money in the Diaspora! Just depends on what you're looking to do? Triller's Music Line-ups sound very original to a 20-30 year old! "Rumble In The Jungle," Zaire '74, was organized by Hugh Masekela, performers were James Brown, Celia Cruz, B.B. King, Miriam Makeba, The Spinners, and Bill Withers! Did Ali vs. Foreman need that much push? I guess so? However now it's a historical event! Most people don't even know that Don King was also the promoter pf the Jackson 5 Reunion Tour! If Triller gets there hands on Crawford vs. Porter, they have a chance to change the game! Don't discount the music events! If the right person bridges Hip-Hop, Reggaeton, with something classic for the over 50 crowd, they could skyrocket!
I just wish triller had a network option

Lets get it right he will be paid to step away and Crawford will have some kind of corona variant up his arse. Crawford needs this fight. This fight can change how he is viewed because for me i still don't know how good he really is as he has not fought anyone......Please no Gamboa, Postol replies

Is there anyway to gauge this? Ratings points? Stream numbers?

no clue. I'm always skeptical of "viewership numbers", no matter the provider or platform. Its a conflict of interest for any of them to report unflattering numbers.

thats great for Eddie but what about ME! How I do it is:

          - I see interesting fight
          - I get friends together and we split the PPV cost (usually thru viasat)

This way we watch it together and spend next to NOTHING individually on the PPV, and I dont gotta "subscribe" to anything monthly.

I dont even know if we get DAZN here! I wanna see Porter beat Crawford! Lets hope someone else wins it.

BTW: How are you doing bro? Is your "Danites are warriors" a reference to the tribe of DAN in the Bible? Lots of folks in my family tree were called "Issachar"

What makes Porter any better than Gamboa or Postol? What has he ever done that they haven't?

For starters Gamboa was skilled but he was a midget and too small for Crawford. As for Postol he was just robotic a very easy style for Crawford to defeat. Now im not even necessarily expecting Porter to beat Crawford but its a good measuring tool for me. I dont think i have ever seen Crawford uncomfortable in the ring for any sustained time. Yes porter has lost every contest against big names but he brings the heat and he will be the bigger man so if Crawford makes it look easy or even knocks out porter, something no fighter has ever done then i will stop hating on Crawford and give him his props

In regards to the two names you mentioned Porter is a difficult night for any fighter in the world. I cant say the same for Gamboa or Postol (back then, forget now)

When you compare Porter to Gamboa and Postol, you fall under the category of what Uncle Roger Mayweather described - “you don’t shít about boxing”!

It’s not even worth explaining it to you

Not a good match up. The fighters themselves do not even want to fight each other. It would be ****** to overpay unless Hearn had a deal in place to sign Crawford long term but Hearn has no one for Crawford to fight so that is very unlikely.

I think you still have SHO along with espn.
I recall reading a WSJ article back in 2019/2020 which put DAZN subscriber base in the US at roughly 1M most of which was driven by Boxing. Even if that number has dropped down to 800K it is still substantially larger than anything this PPV can draw on ESPN+ or Showtime (or both combined).

I believe Bud has probably not sold more than 200K PPVs and Porter probably 300K (against Spence). All in all, you put this fight on ESPN+/Showtime PPV and you won't get more than 500K (tops) in US PPV buys whereas if it's on DAZN it is likely to be available for a larger US population (800K-1M). If they promote it right then the # of views could be even more (via 1 month trial subscription kind of promo or PPV for non-subscribers as an option).
