Then again Fans you guys are the blame...look how some of you treated Devin Haney when he tried to take risk and got clipped and hurt by Linares. Now Haney has no Chin, his Defense is Not that Good and all this Garbage so next fight when he goes back to Safety First blame yourselves

I respect all Styles, sure I love a all out Brawl but Skilled Boxing at its finest can be a beautiful thing to watch as well
You can administer a beatdown from any style. But when your “style” is to just make a non-fight out of a matchup, and your punches are only for “get away from me” purposes. *** you.

He does have a lot of KO's but he is boring i.m.o.
Wlad is a perfect example. The guy is a legend and a great boxer, no question about it.

But his jab and grab style is just boring. But I get it, you want to win and sometimes winning does not equate to entertaining. Look at the stinker of a fight between Floyd and Manny, Floyd won the fight and made Manny look regular, but was it the most boring fight of the century? Probably yeah.

Oh yeah, I will throw another boring fighter into the mix:

Tevin "Powerless" Farmer. That boy isnt knocking no one out anytime soon.

        Low punch output--

Usues the whole ring but mainly for backpaddling, lack of willingness to engage. Tries to score points and never goes for the knockout-

Chris algieri, LARA, maliganggi, seemed boring. Floyd at timess as well--Andrade at times, Fury at times but lately been koing guys so not really

        Wlad at times

I respect your opinion and see what you are saying. I'm a Haney detractor but I must say he impressed me with his boxing skills in his last fight, except the last two rounds. Hopefully he'll take more risks going forward.

Low punch output, excessive running and clinching, not trying hard enough for KO (Mayweather, Lara, Andrade).

I’d say dirty tactics also seem to be a tool of the boring fighter (Hopkins, Ward).

              Let's take Orlando Canizales

              1. Lack of KOs over a long period- Canizales gets an A here as he never went too many fights in a row without a KO or TKO.

              2. Failure to Press the KO- I don't recall Orlando ever backing off from an opponent down the stretch. He always kept trying even when he came up short. A

              3. Lack of Hard Punches- He threw the overhand right with bad intentions every time out. A

              4. Tying Up Opponents- I don't recall Orlando hardly ever tying an opponent up, even when in trouble. A

              5. Low Punch Output- Again, I don't recall him failing in this category either.

Orlando Canizales gets a solid A for not being boring.

A lot of his early middleweight fights are entertaining too, he used to put it on guys back in those days. Too many people have only watched the old man B-Hop fiddling his ways to decisions up at 175.

I thought the Trinidad fight was boring. Haha. But I will say some of Hopkins' early middleweight scraps weren't bad. He was more aggressive then and would throw some real leather.

Admittedly I’d bet on Hopkins so I probably found it more exciting than most, but I do think it was a decent fight too watch, especially in the later rounds when B-Hop got the stoppage.

But yeah he had several very watchable fights at 160. I didn’t take exception to the other poster saying he was boring either, it was that he called him one of the “worst boxers” he’s ever seen- which is just crazy talk.

I actually thought you would mention Tito. That one was semi-ok and the Oscar one too, two former welters. Hopkins was always as dirty and boring as can be. If you are talking about RJJ, then we have a different story. Roy was so good even he was sometimes so bored with how good he was against the opposition. That's a legend.
