And mosley was offered the june date to fight cotto but turned it down because he didn't want to fight in new york.

I'm not claiming you did say that, but I just want to make it clear that Cotto in particular is the only Puerto Rican fighter that I'm not a fan of except for Calderon with his herky jerky style. That way you don't get the impression that I am biased against Ricans. Oh yeah, I forgot, I'm not really a Daniel Santos fan either. It's got nothing to do with Margarito. But Golden Boy Promotions are a buncha amateurs compared to Top RAnk. Golden Boy needs HBO to prop up their outfit on television. When they dont, see the horrendous failure that is Casamayor vs Marquez ppv.

Top Rank can do their own ppv shows without big budget hbo. They are the last true boxing promotional powerhouse. Golden Boy is all flash no substance relying on oscar's pretty face & reputation to keep its ship sailing.

I agree that Mosley turned down the fight with Cotto because
of the location but with that said Cotto has to win a belt from
a champion because that's what boxers/fighters do, win titles
from other champs and defend them. Cotto has defended his
titles but hasn't won any from the actual fighter and instead
picked them up vacantly. Just an example of the double standard
and nothing else: Floyd has won 6 titles 5 divisions and was
defending titles for 10 YEARS and people say that he hasn't proved
nothing but Cotto hasn't won ANY belts from a Boxer/fighter that
held it, so how is he greater? Manny Pacquiao has won like how
many titles from the actual guys that held the belts, same with
Jmm, Mosley, Oscar, Williams, even Margarito has but the supposedly
best fighter at 147 hasn't YET in his pro career? You don't think
it's something wrong with that career wise? & I'm sure when Cotto
retires and he's talked about that fact will be bought up when
Boxing historians reflect on his career. Might not be a big deal
now but it will down the road when it's time for him to be considered
in the HOF.......I'm not hating just stating facts.
