After he wins though, even though they want Cotto or Mosley the are completely ignoring the fact that Cotto has to get by Clottey to make the fight.

a champion because that's what boxers/fighters do, win titles
from other champs and defend them.

What great boxers do is defend their titles against the best possible opposition. Which Cotto is doing. Clottey >> Judah. Mosley in the first fight >> Judah. And Cotto tried to rematch Mosley this June.

Are you saying that when a belt is vacant, great boxers should refuse to fight for it, simply because it's vacant? If so, that's ridiculous. What matters is who they defend against after they win the belt, and whether they beat all the top contenders.

Its so obvious that Arum is rubbing Mays nose in the dirt here. But he is doing it correctly. Pacman is the top fighter and deserves the top money.
