Yeah, I hear you but at 147 Mosley still holds a lil more edge than
Cotto, considering Mosley whupped the only guy to beat Cotto AND
Mosley is ranked #1 in the WW division and Cotto is #2. I think
the negotiations for Cotto/Mosley 2 should be even, considering
Cotto can draw more and the status of Mosley. If a fight in
Vegas/LA happens then it levels out because Cotto is only
does numbers in NY on the eve of the Puerto Rican day parade.
Jennings wasn't a big PPV smash.

Lets get real here in regards to Miguel Cotto and I'm not hating
on the guy, just stating facts. Inorder for him to go down as
an all time great, he is going to have to start beating Champs
for their titles instead of always winning vacant ones. His best
move would be IF he beats Joshua Clottey on June 13th to give
Shane Mosley a rematch and try to beat the recognize 147 champ
and get a legitimate belt and lineal title because if Cotto doesn't
do that before he retires, how can he go down as one of the best?
I know people will argue that belts don't make the fighter but look
at how highly Manny is praised for beating champs in all those divisions?
Miguel Cotto hasn't beaten anyone for a belt officially. He's a good
fighter but not trying to cosign him as a big threat. Every great
fighter can boast that he beat a champion and one a title......
      can Cotto?

He's saying that people took out of context what Pac said, the Manilla media ran with it, the desperate Mosley tried to fool people, and this is where we stand. Pac just gave a basic answer. He wouldve said the same thing about Floyd or Cotto. People totally took it out of context. He never said that Mosley is the fight he wants right now
im sayin sayin i believed the thread...im just sayin he should consider promoting himself just as mayweather and jones and calzaghe did...ofcourse he's going to wait till July 18th

well I definatly agree with that because Arum is an ass but I do think it would be harder for someone like Pac then it was for the other guys. They seem to have a better knowledge of the money thing

60-40 split for Manny, that's why I didn't believe it. Mosley don't deserve more than 30%.

I'm kinda glad to hear this. While I think it could be a decent/exciting fight, Manny will once again get no credit afterwards for beating an old man. He NEEDS Marquez I think more than any other fighter. Take Floyd out of the mix and it's Marquez who really deserves a fight with Manny more than anyone else out there. He's given Manny hell in both fights and seems to be Manny's truest rival. Go figure, he beats all the Mexicans, finally faces a nonMexican, but will probably end his career going back to fighting the last one he couldn't beat convincingly.

So if they are giving and offering Mosley 40% when mosley is not a draw.

What do they expect to offer floyd...?
                    When Floyd is a draw..

                    If they give Mosley 40%...
that means they know they are not getting the lionshare with floyd...
and mostly would accept a 50/50 with Mayweather.

Mosley biggest payday is 5 million dollars...even with fighting Oscar twice.

So how do you give a fighter who biggest payday 5 million dollars 40% of the purse, when your last fight you (PACQUIAO) just made 12 million dollars??

                    Doesnt make sense..!!

That means IF HBO puts a 20 million budget on this fight
Pacquiao would get 12 million and Mosley would get 8 Million...

Thats 3 more million that Mosley got with Oscar...

If Pacquiao gives mosley 40%, he is losing money and leverage with a fight with Mayweather
