IF Cotto brings his A game this should be a wide UD, but hey Clottey got two hands too. What about the bet? 30k
hurt him to the point that Mosley feared his power like say for
instance Zab/Gomez/Jennings. If anything Mosley applied more
pressure towards the late rounds. Margarito wasn't hurt at all
the way he walked through Cotto's hardest punches. I agree
if Cotto brings his A game he can pull off a win but I think
Clottey will come in with a solid game plan to take it to Cotto
and frankly he sounds like he doesn't respect Cotto as a threat
and think it will make him a little more loose in the ring. I would
bet but not sure how this system works.

The fact that Cotto was stopped IMO is what makes people think Clottey has a puncher's chance (when in reality he's not that type of puncher).
It all depends too on which Clottey shows up. The defensive Clottey may make it a little more difficult for Cotto to get in, but he'll leave his body exposed too. If Clottey gets on the offensive 1st his best bet would be to tire out Cotto, but Clottey isn't the best conditioned fighter as seen in his past fights.

Mosley had the tools to beat him and fought a near perfect fight, unlike Quitto who had the wrong gameplan all along against Tony. Margarito in the end was tailor made for Shane as much as Quitto was made for Tony.
But whatever, it's pointless to argue about it, you see things one way and I see things in another way, there is no balance or rationalization when it comes to these two fighters. I can't make anyone respect Tony after what happened and I partially understand so.
Me however, have been his fan for many years and give him the benefit of the doubt and will continue to support him throughout what's left of his career, that is the path I chose, you want to bash me or him, go ahead it's your choice, you think I give a ****?

Clottey is way overrated.....
I don't know why everybody is sweating Clottey. The dude is way over rated. I almost fell asleep when I saw him fight Zab Judah. Cotto is gonna whip that black ass... And by the way... Look out for the next Mexican Killa - Juan Manuel Lopez....

Originally posted by BadBoy0C View PostI have to disagree with ur first point, he did continue to fight but his chin wasnt fine, he got wobbled against Zab and Mosley, Zab it was worse and he had to hold on a couple of times, and later low blowed zab a couple of times and got time to recover, if Zab had more killer instinct he would have had cotto out of there, mosley wobbled cotto once but it wasnt as bad
Mosley got stunned and rocked by Oscar, he got stunned, rocked, and hurt against Forrest.

biggest $ punch taking away and pressured off of his game
"THE BODY PUNCH" Aside from the fact that Margarito may or
may not have cheated, that's not what I'm talking about for
all the counter arguments. I'm talking about the game plan
Margarito used to pressure Cotto and take his body punch away.
If that same Cotto who couldn't adjust in the Margarito fight
comes to fight Clottey then Clottey is going to beat him. Cotto
will have to be able to adjust and readjust and get his best
punch off effectively but in all honesty, against a strong fighter
Cotto has cut it close or lost. I do give Cotto a good chance
but that's only if Clottey doesn't come to fight.
