If either of you guys can name one great fighter that Azumah Nelson beat or his greatest win I would be seriously surprised. You guys have no clue about what you are talking about.
Dominicano puts names like Vasquez, Chavez, Nelson, Ramirez, Mayweather, McGirt etc etc and you put down Solis as one of Pac's good names to compare to them?
Holy ****e! This place has gone nuts. Completely effing batty!
Pac only has one loss now? So, Trinidad beats Whitaker up when he was a coked up, old junkie, piece of crap boxer well past against an ATG undefeated welterweight, twice his size, in his prime, but Pac's two KO losses don't count? Man, this ****e is great.
How about you put it this way. Vasquez is one of the greats at 154. Ramirez is one of the greats at LW, Chavez is one of the greats, Nelson ATG, but guys like Haugen, Hurtado etc haven't even been named as good opponents for Whitaker and yet they were easily as good as guys like Ledwaba (damn it, Haugen wasn't just as good as Ledwaba he was way better!) and a ****e load better than Solis. Solis isn't anyone at all!
I'm flat out stunned.
At least it's given me a good laugh after work. Even if it is daft.

Whitaker to me was undefeated going into the Tito fight. Some may disagree but I strongly believe he was, Pacquiao has a great resume and could possibly surpass Whitaker, but I won't be surprised if Pacquiao doesn't win another fight, especially when you got Cotto, SSM and Mayweather in your radarOriginally posted by FasTHarD View PostPacman may surpass Pernell soon.
In all seriousness though, right now, his resume is not even better than Whitaker's. It's just fresher in peoples minds.
Why a guy like Ledwaba gets put in with names like the ones mentioned by Dominicano as being as good is out of this world daft! All I can think is that you have all just heard he was some hyped dude that was meant to be great that Pac obliterated. It's really damn obvious though that none of you have seen him fight or know who he has fought.
His best opponents were Vuyani Bungu (a great fighter when he was younger. Ledwaba got him when he was way past it and had been blasted by Hamed in two rounds long before. lost other fights and was just plain done as a fighter) and this is his only good win and it was over twelve. He got blown out by Pac and his only other good opponent Baloyi beat him twice in his own home town! These are the only good fighters he fought. The others were 'never rans' and not even 'has beens'.
I can't figure this out. Maybe next you'll say he is better than those listed above. He doesn't even come close to Haugen who isn't even mentioned on Whitakers resume by many people and yet Haugen was the first fighter to beat the absurdly talented, undefeated Hector Camacho. He also beat the great Vinnie Pazienza, the undefeated future welterweight titlist Gert Jacobsen, the very fine LW champ Jimmy Paul (man, this guy was way better than Ledwaba), as well as the great Ray Mancini....this victory was similar to Ledwaba's over Bungu in that Mancini was past it. Still better than Bungu was at the time though.
Just to punctuate the point and to show that even Greg Gaugen himself knows it, Haugen even beat up on Pac's trainer Freddie Roach.
As The Executioner just said, he would really have to beat Mayweather to even have the resume of Whitaker, let alone surpass him.Last edited by BennyST; 05-11-2009, 04:03 AM.

I bet the only fighters that these guys recognise on Ledwaba's resume is Pac. Sorry guys, but if you're going to throw out that it's "not even debatable" at least know who you're talking about.
Hurtado is a better fighter than Ledwaba. He just happened to come up against guys that were just that little bit too good in title shots. If he'd fought the guys that Ledwaba did he would have been undefeated. Not that Ledwaba was, he got KO'd in one round by some dude well before the Pac fight.
Nah, Ledwaba wasn't that bad. He was about as good as Hurtado though, quite seriously.Last edited by BennyST; 05-11-2009, 04:19 AM.
