That's discussing why people go into boxing but I think the topic is about athletic ability and "attributes" going into the athlete based on genetic and race.

For instance: percentage wise, blacks have bigger/thick/muscular asses than most.

Or, how come we haven't seen a "White" version of Chamberlain, Lebron, Jordan, Kobey, Shaq, etc. yet?

Why are most WR and RB in the NFL Black?

this is the way I see it:

white fighters: Natural Power from bigger body frames and good chins. But that body frame is only effective at the heavyweight level because white ppl have to cut weight for the lower divisions which gives them less muscle mass than other races and that gives them a significant disadvantage in speed and energy. white fighters also execute game plans to a T.

black fighters: fast, agile and have smaller bone structure so they could pack on more muscle mass for whatever division they are in. Are able to fight any style of boxing but because of that extra ability, they seem to get sloppy and lazy.

latino fighters: I think latino fighters can do it all but don't really master any paticular aspect of fighting. they're kinda like jack of all trades but masters of none.

thats my take on the 3 main races in boxing.

For boxing history part: Let's not forget about how many "White" Champions there were prior to WWII.

But for percentage, there might be something to be said about the African-American influence.

The slave traders only chose the best ones to ship over to the Americas and half of them died due to the appalling conditions. The ones who survived had to be tough and their progeny inherited their genes. That is why imported blacks are more likely to be athletically gifted than bona fide African blacks. The operative term there is "more likely." To simplify athleticism down to race is a bit silly.

First off guys WELL DONE, 5 Pages deep and full of NON RACIST and well thought out posts with good points!

My own take is that GENERALLY most races have advantages in certain areas and stuff. I think if we generalizing white guys cut easier, black guys are quicker and have more rythem, Samoans are sturdier and so on so on but yeah its MAINLY to do with the indvidual and HIS PERSONAL genetics, upbrining, background and **** like that

not true, Guts Ishimatsu used to be quite a puncher.

anyways, its pointless to classify people by race, because there will always be at least one who goes against a particular stereotype. just judge individuals.

hell, you cant even say that all black people have black skin, because youve got albinos and then just light skinned blacks. Im darker than a lot of black people, and Im 100% white.

also, Im just going to throw out there that most people we look at as black are actually part white/hispanic/other. Im dead serious. look at true 100% Africans and then look at a black Americans/Brits. There can be noticable differences.
