People talk how SSM easily dispatched of AM, but AM took so many brutal shots from Cotto...like I told my wife after he beat Cotto, that it was AM's last great win and I think I'm right.

From what I seen of Clottey, his guard are way to high and he loses stamina faster than Cotto. He doesn't punch with as much authority although he has a great snapping jab.

The only thing I fear for Cotto is uppercuts, he tends to have his head low when going for the body and overhand rights.

Either way, there won't be a KO unless an out of this world punch lands, I see a UD in Cotto's favor. If Cotto looks impressive it will say alot about his recovery and mental state.

Also I've only read a few pages, but those questioning his resume should really take a better look and stop being so pin headed. At 28, he's got a great list that will only grow. SSM beat in my opinion a damaged goods AM whom Cotto really softened up and at the time was regarded as the most avoided boxer/fighter in the game outside of PW. Now Clottey is in the same boat. I just don't see Clottey having the superhuman chin that AM seemed to have last July.
Your last paragraph and the bolded are dead-on. So is the whole post, really.

I just think Cotto is all wrong for Clottey, aslong as he is fully there mentally. Clottey is a pretty good fighters there are just to many red flags against him for me to really like his chances.

That said maybe Clottey steps it up a notch in this fight, and really proves his worth at the world class level.

I like the fight though as both guys have a lot to prove and both really need the win badly.

sigue mamando maricon... believe whate ever you want... Cotto wants no part of Floyd Mayweather. Thats a fact.. he never called him out never said his name... NEVER. all you ricans want him to fight him but he doesnt want that loss. atleast Hatton had balls to call him out.. He didn't want Margo either... Bob Arum forced that issue because he promised Tony a big fight.... Cotto didn't want to trade with Margo.. He ran that whole fight.

If he was that good, why he didnt fight Mosley, Cotto, Williams...
Do you think that the Floyd Mayweather Jr, Zab Judah was close? Zab won 5RDS? The only close fight that we can debate on is the first Castillo fight but again Floyd gave him a rematch, the one that supposedly beat him the first time. Why would Floyd fight a man again that he felt could possibly beat him? If he was a coward and ducked guys he would have took that gift win and ran with it but instead he showed that he could beat him.

On top of that Floyd was injured in the first fight and it was still close. Ducking the best guys? He fought the Champs at 147 at his time Judah/Baldomir to become the recognized 147 Champ? You mean to say that he didn't fight who YOU considered to be the best.

People rag on Baldomir but he is the guy who got Clottey so frustrated that Clottey head butted him & got disqualified. Then he went to upset Judah to become the recognized champ at Welter? I'm tired of you guys saying "He didn't fight the best" but in actuality he did, it just wasn't Cotto/Margarito/Williams at the time. If any of them held that Lineal title guaranteed Floyd would have got at em.

That's the biggest load of CRAP I ever read almost because
I read crappier post when it comes to excusing Cotto for the lost & giving him more props for his fight with Margarito than he deserves. First off, Miguel Cotto ran from Antonio Margarito the WHOLE fight & if your going to debate me on that then clearly you are too bias to see the truth. 2nd, Cotto did land bombs on Margarito but being that he never sat on his punches took emphasis off of his power.

3rd, Margarito had over SIX months to heal from that fight with Cotto & on top of that Margarito NEVER looked like he was in ANY trouble in the fight with Cotto. 4th, Cotto NEVER slowed down the momentum of Margarito or fought him in the middle to **** to the body because that pressure had him folding. Mosley just had a better game plan and sat on his punches & neutralized Margarito's pressure. Bottom line, he just fought a better fight than Cotto, had nothing to do with Cotto softening Margarito up.

That's like saying before Cotto/Margarito, Cintron (Who is a big puncher & landed frequently) softened Margarito up for Cotto because that fight was in April & they fought in July? But Cotto got chased down and beat up. You Cotto fans kill me with all the excuses you give him? The only two to take a beating by Margarito at 147 was Cintron2x & Cotto, so how is Cotto the best at 147? One of the best YES but the best NO. Lets just focus on the fight at hand and I give him RESPECT for taking on Clottey in his next fight.

Boxing Videos (2-25-08) interview of Cotto asked about different fighters and about Mayweather (thats for people who say that he is duckin or was duckin Mayweather)...

On the other hand.. just thought about this... everytime Cotto is going to fight a "Most Feared" fighter we noticed that he fights a weaker person which people say that it gives him too much confident which it may be most likely true. In My Opinion, its all planned out by Arum. Arum wants him to lose because its almost the end of his contract with Top Rank so nobody else will be interested in Cotto, therefore he gets Re-signed by Top Rank so they can keep winning money with him. I Dont know but that is how it seems to me, Arum is a real smart business man which should die already for (In My Eyes) being so greedy and messed up to his fighters, just like he wanted Mayweather to lose bad but he didnt get that wish come true, Mayweather up and bounced from Top Rank, which was a smart a** move by Mayweather, props to him for that.

Also another subject that concerns me is that, isnt it almost MID MARCH??? Where are the results of the HANDWRAPS taken from Margarito's Camp? What is going on with that side of the story? They said that to die out the topic and subject by also putting up other great fights and news about other boxers, but I (and im pretty sure hundreds, maybe thousands) want to know the real story and news found behind the wraps once tried to put on the ring by Margarito and his camp. We or somebody needs to POST A THREAD about this to tell the Boxing World that we haven't forgotten about the MAJOR controversy once played and still a big one now TODAY!! WE WANT TO KNOW SOMETHING DAMMIT. STOP TRYING TO HIDE IT AND BRING IT OUT. WE HAVENT FORGOTTEN.
