Calzaghe won the fight cos idiot judges give rounds to a guy based on how many punches he throws, they dont care if they land or not. If you score that fight on CLEAN and EFFECTIVE punches LANDED.
Calzaghe didnt win that fight, thus why some wanna see a rematch.Last edited by Dave Rado; 03-08-2009, 10:36 AM.

Showtime offered Jones $3.5 million to fight Calzaghe in 2001, but because of boxing politics with HBO, it didn't come off. Jones certainly did not duck Calzaghe, but Calzaghe didn't duck Jones either. It's just one of those things that it didn't happen.

Hopkins landed the cleaner and more effective punches, but too few of them to deserve to win in the opinion of not only the official judges, but also of many boxing experts. The Ring scored it to Calzaghe. HBO scored it to Calzaghe. Many other boxing experts scored it to Calzaghe. You might think the punches that Calzaghe landed weren't clean enough to be scored, but many boxing experts thought that enough of his punches landed cleanly to give him the win. And even the boxing experts who thought Hopkins won said it was extremely close - and no extremely close fight can ever be called a robbery.

I was expecting him to reject it to be honest, Calzaghe is retired and wants it to stay that way at the moment.
