Depends how you look at it. Mosley is a combination puncher. Not as efficient but he will definitely get more punches in in a shorter period of time based off of his style.

Mosley could win Floyd but he is 37 and not what he once was. An aggressive combination COUNTER puncher. He could get off a counter-punch before you landed yours and then he'd follow up with plenty more. Mosley definitely has a good style to beat Floyd and the ring smarts as well.

Floyd would not have a easy time with Mosley. Mosley would have butchered Mayweather at lightweight. Mosley was unbeatable at that weight, one of the best ever at 135. Yeah I know there is Duran etc. But Mosley's chin, speed, combinations, knowledge, footwork, POWER, etc. would be good enough to beat anyone in history at that weight, not necessarily would but could I guess.

Floyd has yet to fight a legitimate 147 pound fighter that has TALENT. Baldomir come on seriously? Hatton was 140 pounder always has been. Zab is 140 pounder(probably the most talented fighter I have ever seen, to bad he has no brain). DLH come on 5 years past his prime at best.

Floyd would have had a serious amount of problems and could have been KO'd by Margs(I'll get burned for that one). Mayweather doesn't have the chin, strength, power, or combinations that Mosley has. But Mosley also doesn't have the D that Mayweather has. Margs hits hard, and doesn't stop throwing. Mayweather would have a hard time fighting at that pace, it screws up his defense. Mayweather would have to beat Margs in a different manner then Mosley.

Cotto I still say is a 140 pounder and that is his best weight. Cotto would get owned by PBF handily. Cotto doesn't have the output or strength to slow down PBF. His style would just be bad for PBF IMO. He would have to become a relentless come forward fighter, his stamina is to poor to do what Margs does. PBF would pop shot him and it would be an embarrassment. Cotto is not fast enough(not saying he is slow), his defense is poor, not as good a counter puncher. Oh plus Cotto is a one handed fighter, he needs to develop a straight right and use more jabs. More uppercuts would be nice. He just doesn't have enough of an offensive arsenal to dissect PBF.

PBF would get KO'd by PW. PW is just to big, he would hold him at bay and tee off on him. Just to tall. Now if PBF some how wins that would be very impressive. PBF is an impressive fighter but he would have a very hard time against him. PBF likes to lean on the ropes and that would get him in trouble especially with PW's output.

All and all, he fought a lot of fighters that were once good, but he fought no up and comers and for damn sure isn't the best ever. The best fight the best. He ran from DLH for 12 rounds, that fight was one of the worst I have ever seen. Mayweather was amazing at 130-140 but he is not a 147 pound fighter. Mayweather has yet to show us he is the best 147 pound fighter, he avoided so many good fighters it is hard to give him any respect past 140.

I don't see this fight happening. A match against Pacquiao would at least be equally marketable, but with less risks. Mayweather would come back for the money, not the glory.

Oh and for those of you who are comparing Gatti to Margarito that is just ******ed. Gatti has poor stamina, worse chin, heart is a throw up, less strength, less power, and way less output. Margarito is a different type of beast. Margarito's a different type of pressure fighter because he throws so many damn power punches.

Corrales and Castillo are solid wins. But Mayweather doesn't own a win over a better fighter then Mosley, Clottey, Margarito(with his size, output, and power), and PW(size, power, and output).

Who taught you how to observe fighters? The only thing you got right was your observation on a potential Cotto/Mayweather fight. PBF has a good chin & excellent recovery skills & damn near impossible to hit. I think we all seen how good Margarito really is from his performance last night. He is NO better than Baldomir in my book when compared to a guy that can actually box, has ring generalship & can work well against pressure.

When did I give Pacquiao credit for beating DLH? PW would come in prepared for Mayweather, unlike he did the the first time around against Quintana. He came in way unprepared and showed a difference in the second win embarrassing him.
