Some of you guys are ******s. Again, you see one fight and now Shane is unbeatable and everybody is scared. No real fighter in the boxing world should have been scared of Margarito after the Cotto fight. I told you, styles make fights. Floyd was never scared of Marg. and he sure ain't scared of Mosley. It would be a fight that I would love to see. But if it doesn't happen, it's not because of fear. PBF is all about the money... unfortunately.

I doubt it!
I even think Mayweather Jr. peed on his pants in shock of what Mosley did to Margarito. And to those pitiful hopefuls that still tries to convince themselves that Floyd Jr is not afraid of Margarito... wake up!
I like Mayweather Jr as a fighter... but I don't like him as a person.

Bunch of morons. ALWAYS got something to say bout Floyd.. "He hasn't done this, hasn't done that.... this guy would beat him... his legacy.. he would lose all credibilty.. his place all-time... Sugar Ray Leonard would've done this... atleast oscar did this... he just wants to remain undefeated... he ducked this guy.. he's scared of Mosley, Cotto, Margarito, Pacman, Paul Williams, Berto, Clottey.
Lets go back to the basics of Floyd Mayweather..
11 years boxing (10 of those years as champion).
6 championship titles (8 div), 5 weight classes (super feather - junior middle).
Fighter of the year in 1998 and 2007 (Ring mag).
Pound for pound number one for 3 years 2005-2008
UNDEFEATED
Biggest revenue ever in single boxing fight with De La Hoya. $120 million
Most PPV buys in single boxing event 2.4 million with De La Hoya
Notable victories: undefeated Hatton - KO (title defense), De La Hoya (won title), Judah (won title), undefeated Corrales - TKO (title defense), Castillo 1 (won title), Castillo 2 (title defense), Gatti TKO - (won title), Baldomir (won unification), undefeated Ndou - TKO (title defense), Hernandez TKO - (won title).
All of this before the age of 31.
Now......
WHAT THE **** ELSE IS LEFT TO ****ING DO???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
get a life.. go hate on someone that deserves it like Margarito and his bucket of plaster of paris.
wait maybe he should fight Collazo.... ****ing cornballs..
give it a rest already.

If Mayweather REALLY wanted to fight Shane, then why didn't he instruct Ellerbe to get it done 2 or 3 years ago? Why now? Floyd should just stay retired instead of making noise about fighting every boxer coming off a big win that is past his actual prime.

Originally posted by BoxingScribe View PostIF this fight were to happen, and I dont think it EVER will, Shane wins this one by KO. Yeah I said it. There are a NUMBER of reasons.
When was the last time Floyd fought someone as fast or faster than him? That would have been Zab Judah. Now who remembers the first 5 rounds of that fight? Now one can attribute that to the fact that Floyd's style of defense is only useful against conventional fighters and he had to adjust not only to Judah's southpaw stance but his speed. After he did that, Judah broke down mentally and lost the remainder of the fight.
Shane on the other hand while a conventional fighter has fast hands and POWER. Floyd's fleet footnedness that he displayed against Corrales and Baldomir only works on a slow plodding flat footed fighter. This aint Shane. Floyd has NO CHIN. I will say this again. Floyd has NO CHIN. Corley had him out on his feet. Judah dropped him. Castillo had him near tears. And unlike Oscar, Shane is going to catch him all day. Floyd isnt going to be able to find sparring partners to match Shanes speed and power.
And third, Floyd has become a pot shotting fighter. Lead hook here. Lead right there. In order to beat Shane you have to neutralize his offense while throwing combinations which Floyd is not about to risk getting hit. So Shane would MAUL him with combinations while setting traps. Floyd is not about to stand and trade with Shane. Anybody that believes that is CRAZY.
Shane by KO all day. And this is why this fight will NEVER take place like Jones-Hopkins 2
Castillo gave him a fight the first time but PBf had the nuts, man'd up and dominated him in the rematch. Shane is a GREAT fighter & I never will underestimate him again but he would not beat PBF & I would bet on that. After the 2nd Vargas fight Mosley was asked if he would fight Floyd & Shane said he had a tooth ache. Get it right my dude. PBF was going to fight Shane but the contract agreements never got right so the match never happened. don't get where all these people are saying that PBF is scared or ducking dudes? Anyway I'm focusing on the guys that are active & right now to me Mosley is the man @ 147 & has the potential to Unify the titles.
