even the roy that fought tarver the 1st time would have beat joe imo
UH WRONG. As we all know we rate fighters primes on how they LOOK. And that Roy LOOKED flabbier than the Joe Roy. So clearly that Roy can't be better. NO WAY.

bloody hell, now i know what they mean by NSB and the low IQ.

if you really need me to spell it out here goes: i meant that it would have taken the fight out of him when you're 39 years old and you just get dominated and UD'd then maybe you have to take a long hard serious look at yourself and wonder just how much more you have left to give.

once hed lost to johnson and tarver he was still recovering from the HW quest and could look to that as a reason/excuse, he was also till quite young and had time to mount another challenge.

oh and bsrizpac i just mentioned a couple of reasons why i dont think hes a complete goner, alot of his camp seemed quite confident that he could do well as well. his trainers and partners were saying that he seemed to be getting back into the groove that he was before the other big fights he was in. believe it or not how shot a fighter is can be based on how they look in the fight, in the build up to a fight e.g. DLH, tarver.

24/7's job is to hype the fight. Of course his camp is going to hype him. What are they going to say...you are going to ****ing lose Roy?

        Uh okay.

Well here's the bottom line: the guy was CRUSHED in 04. Remember that year. What year did he fight Joe in (almost 09). How many times was he CRUSHED? Who did he fight since then?

That's all you need to know. Shot, kaput. Done. You can infer whatever you want to try to make Joe look better. Bottom line, Roy was done and anyone with a brain should have known it.

Jones is only half the man he once was.. Physically he is still in great shape. and his skill set is still pretty sharp..

Jones is shot mentally.. and has been for some time.. in fact i can pinpoint the moment it probably happened..

          "Any questions?"

"Yeah I have a question. What excuse you going to use tonight Roy?"

I think at that moment.. Roy Jones Jr P4P #1 was no more.. he was mentally broken and then, destroyed some 4:41 minutes later..

I'd go with the crushing overhand left that put him down and made him stumble around a few minutes later, but hey, I can't fault ya

Funny thing is as Shot as Roy was I still thought he had a chance against Joe. What Roach said about Oscar was also true of Roy in the fight."Couldn't pull the trigger." Oh and hes been shot since 04.
