in the first 4 rounds he was competitive and looked alrite but i think it was when he was beginning to lose heart that he looked past it. once he was cut there was no way he was in the running.
i think the fight may have taken more out of him mentally more than anything.

Tell me what is more mentally taxing, being knocked out by both Tarver and Johnson or getting beat by Calzaghe via UD?

i'd say that he was 40% of his former self....
even the roy that fought tarver the 1st time would have beat joe imo
