Oscar had been lookin' less than his best since Sturm at least, so I dunno about him lookin' any 'healthier' against Maywx than he did against Manny Also, we'll see how Hatton does against the Pacman. If Pac whups him easier than PBF did, will you just say that the Hitman was already toast from suffering 1 quick KO (not a prolonged beating, mind you) at Floyd's hands? Pfffft...
The fact is that Pacs resume' is hands down better than Floyd's. If Pac beats Hatton, the only way that 'Money' will be able to be regarded as a better fighter than Pac is to enter the ring and beat him. Which he won't. So what is left for Floyd but to pray mightily for Hatton to beat Pacquiao?
Yes, I know which makes it all the worse.
I also said Floyd fought Tszyu left-overs: Mitchell and Judah.
It's also why I didn't consider the win over Oscar, even though Oscar was 160+, a good win for Floyd.
Oh, EPO and Steroids was what Shane was on when he beat Oscar
Sturm was a true Middleweight and the only thing big about Oscar at that weight when he fought Sturm was his belly.
And if you want to bring up Castillo, what does that say about Pac's wins over MAB, EM, Oscar, etc?

I've explained this several times.
140 pound fighters tend to weigh-in at 149 by fight time. Yes, that includes Hatton who weighed in at 149 for his fights in the 140 pound division.
Where was he for Floyd on fight night? Same weight he weighs for his 140 pound division fight-time weight: 149, which is the same weight as Floyd.
So what it was really was a 140 pound division fight except nobody had to drain weight for the weigh-in like they did for the 140 pound division. They were both at the same weigh-in weight as other fighters are in the JrWW division.
Don't be fooled by labels since both weren't going to come in at 140 pounds by fight time.

Floyd is retired!! Point...Blank...Period!! Let the man live. I highly doubt he cares what any of you have to say. If Floyd retired before a lucrative rematch with Oscar (a man he already beat by the way) what makes you think he is gonna come back and fight Manny. The fight is not happenning after Pac-Hatton because think about it by then he will be 2 years removed from boxing and I don't see Floyd as the person to take a tune-up or dumb enough to fight by then the best fighter in the world after a two year layoff.
So let's look forward to Pac-Hatton and another great night of boxing.

What does Mosely's taking roids and Sturm being big have to do with how 'healthier' Oscar looked?
And what Castillo says about blahblahblah is that records are statistics; easy to spin em'.
So. Like I said. Don't aggrandize your boy PBF by trashing Manny's win over Oscar. Better, find a way to compel him to prove the supremacy that he (and some of his fans) so self-righteously claim. In the ring.
That is all.

Pacquiao like Calzaghe's unorthadoxed offense can give anyone problems. Floyd on the other hand would stabilize that left hand & potshot his way to an easy decision in my opinion. Even I was sleeping on how good Hatton really is. Hatton is a beast, Floyd just made **** look differently. I agree with Arum that the longer Floyd stays out of the ring the better chance for Pac, but I can't see Floyd being defeated. I got alot of respect for Pac, he's something special, & I'm going to hate the way people will start to dog him (just as they did Hatton) after the moment he steps in the ring with Floyd if the fight ever happens.

I always wondered what they all weighed on the night of the fight. My guess was that DLH had about a dozen pounds on PBF on the night of the fight, and that PBF and Hatton weighed around the same on fight night (PBF did look bigger though).
It was only one source, so I'm not sure on its comlete validity, although some others I've heard said the same.
Maybe someone will post there finds.
The good part of it at 147 was that it allowed Ricky to come in at whatever he liked.Last edited by Benny Leonard; 12-17-2008, 10:00 PM.
