With all due respect, I'ts Manny's time to deal with a young prime and active lineal champ before facing Floyd. Yes, Manny was impressive lately, but lets not get carried away at a lopsided TKO over a very badly faded and weight drained ODLH. While the win was great, not too many people beleive that would have happened had Oscar been nearer to his prime years. He used to be fast and has allot of power @ 147.

The fight to be made is Manny-Hatton with the winner facing Floyd. I'm not saying Hatton will def win, but look for a tough fight from the Hitman if this goes down. He will not lay down like Oscar, and Manny has been hurt to the body. Hatton is known to drop folks w/ the body shots

That fight was ref'd with an obvious bias mindset from Cortez. Whether it was a payoff, rooting for a hometown fighter or because the Brits boo'd the US national anthem, it will remain a mystery. I didn't just make up the circumstances about the poor ref job, I just easily recognized it and not only based on Hatton being one of my favorite fighters. He was treated unfairly and if he gets another shot at Floyd or not, it needs to be recognized. (not saying that he will beat Floyd, for the huggers) The gripe is more than an excuse. Floyd is marvelous, but Hatton is world class as well. The Hatton that beat Tszyu @ 140 would probably stop Mayweather, in my opinion.

On the weight issue, you know as well as I do that it doesnt matter what weight you come in at on fight night, what matters is what your body is used to. I know that it is easier to move up and maintain than it is to drop weight, but the point I am making is that Hatton is allot stronger when his opponent is near his best weight. His power and speed is compromised at 147 and while still very good, he is not as great as he is @ 140. That has been proven, so it is considered a fact at this point.
      Peace.

      Agree to disagree

        Floyd just isn't that great.
So what about his injured hands? He's been fighting with that problem a long time.

I would also like to know your opinion on Freddie Roach saying Pac is only going to fight two more times, which means, Pac could be retiring when he is still young and in his Prime.

Also, why can't a fighter retire anytime he wants; it's his life; his health. Fighters usually end up like Ali when they fight to long past their prime.
It's like going into war without being at your best. Would you as a soldier like to fight in the field if you are old and your reflexes aren't the same?

If you look at some other athletes, like Jim Brown and Barry Sanders, they retired in their prime and both are ATG.

Floyd or any boxer doesn't owe fans anything with what you are saying. You paid for his services and he fought; that's the deal.

How about you win his respect and fight in the ring against Elite Pro Fighters.

Floyd hasn't fought at his best for a few years now; his style is different. And his hands have been ****** up for years. Mentally, he seemed burnt out with the sport that he has been in since he was a child.

Pacman is more at his Peak than Floyd is.

            Excuses.

Lots of fighters fight on with injuries.

Busted hands, noses that don't heal properly, detached retinas, etc etc.

I seriously doubt Pac fights two more times and calls it quits.

No! Why? Mayweather ha retired! He is not ducking anyone, he RETIRED!
Good for him. He has made so much money. I know money is not everything but he already was p4p Nr.1 so he really had the right to retire. Why has every fighter to fight until they are 40 or until their past it??

But therefore hes smart enough to retire at the Top of his game. I know lots of guys want to see him loose, thats why they angry about him that he retired.

They don't, but then again, most fighters don't call themselves the best ever, and then retire when the opportunity is there to prove it.

Had Mayweather beat Margarito, Cotto and Williams, he'd have every right to say hes the best ever.

What status does Cotto, Margarito and Paul have that would allow Mayweather to say "I'm the best ever"
