Why did Joe duck johsnon? I'm waiting.

lol pissed off, the guy I picked to win, won.

I don't know why Joe hasn't fought Johnson, probably the same reason why Mayweather never fought Cotto or Margarito.

    high risk low reward perhaps.

    I could care less really.

Its not out of the question. I'd favor Leonard, just as I'd favor Jones over Joe.

However, I don't think those fights would be wipeouts the way many stans predict.

But just take a look at last weekends fight for example.

Across this board, mostly EVERYONE had Mijares winning a wide ud, some even chose KO because he was the better boxer, smarter, defensive wiz, etc etc.

Now, lets say Mijares and Vic didn't have a fight until 2012. Somehow Vic wins. Many people would be talking about how if the fight happened in Christians prime, 2008, he would have won.

Good thing we didn't have to wait for 2012 for that fight to happen.

Vic proved that boxing is a very unpredictable sport and doesn't always follow logic.

Thats why its better to get in the ring, than let the fight play out on paper.

I don't recall Roy or Bernard pushing for a Joe fight in the late 90s or early part of the decade.

Jones, Jr. wasted his talent fighting a string of bums, with Joe Calzaghe waiting in the wings as an undefeated titlist. Made no sense, unless of course Roy just didn't want the fight. Why chance your reputation and record on the real thing when you can make millions fighting bums? Roy sold out to the business end of boxing, and then got a little ****y with Antonio Tarver. Tarver knocked him out with one punch. According to the legions of Jones' nuthuggers, Jones' prime ended the moment before Tarver threw that punch. Bernard Hopkins was a little less cynical and was willing to fight the best. But, Calzaghe presented problems for him too. Thus, no fight.

Meanwhile, Calzaghe goes on his merry way, brutalizing all opponents. But, finally at last, and only after having reached the point in their declining careers where a loss to Calzaghe wouldn't really mean that much, Hopkins and Jones decided it was time for Calzaghe. Time for a nice pay day and a last hurrah. Not unexpectedly, they both lost. And, boxing history for this particular generation of fighters is finally made.
I am confused as to why you are intentionally distoring the facts and past to match your delusional fantasy of a Joe Calzaghe focused world.

How could anybody be confused about the fact that Calzaghe beat both Hopkins and Jones Jr.? Only a nuthugger could distort this with excuse after excuse.

Sometimes it takes time, but eventually the cream will rise to the top.

I didn't see him look old and washed up against Trinidad... That was how long ago? 10 months ago? lol

So he went from a still competitive fighter to a washed up bum in 10 months. I don't think so...

I don't see any difference in the outcome if it were 10 or or 15 years ago.

Calzaghe owns Jones at any age. His style just plain overwhelms Jones and Jones is not a good technical fighter.

Get over it, quit crying, man up, and admit your boy got soundly beat by the better fighter, and the outcome would of been the same regardless if it was 5 or 10 years ago.
Man you really are a douche bag. The better fighter did win last night but to say that Joe would beat a prime RJJ is just plain ******.
Joe himself said he never saw teh knockdown punch and that the punch stunned him and he was in trouble but was able to regain his composure.
A prime RJJ would toy with Joe and knock him out in 8.
Saturday Joe was the better fighter by far. I take no credit away from him but to say he would beat him all day everyday is just unbeleivable.
Dude your moms calling you cause you forgot to take your meds.

But that Coffee will still taste like **** because is was cooked long ago and left out to spoil...and for the Cream, it's sour and the coffe is trying to push it away to expose the full truth.

Prime vs. Prime: It's a difficult fight.
