Calzaghe has only had 2 real fights.. Kessler and Hopkins. He got dropped in route to a a SPLIT decision against Hopkins. He outpointed Hopkins slapping. The thing that sticks out the most in that fight is how many times Hopkins buckled Calzaghes knees with his right hand. Roy Jones right hand is much more wicked. RJ has everything Hopkins has and more.. more power and more speed. Regardless of Jones age this will be the best fighter Calzaghe has fought. This is Jones fight to win or lose. Either way the only validation I see for Calzaghe is if he KOs Roy Jones.
Calzaghe is overrated. if he fought career is US he'd have many losses.

What?
[QUOTE=edgarg;4260485]I must compliment you on your post.......I've NEVER seen one like it.
The supreme idiocies, the monstrous untruths, the abysmal ignorance, not only of boxing, but of any of the ancillary appendagWith my customary moderate approach, {and similiar to the story of Abraham and Lot and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, where he tries to find even 10 good men, then 5, then 1, etc etc) I tried to find even just ONE LITTLE thing for your credit as a boxing poster, but I just couldb't. This nearly broke my bloody {5 letters} heart.
To put it bluntly, and without using any 4 letter words, It was the biggest bunch of damned (6 letters) nonsense I've seen on these pages that I can recall. And I have a very good memory..............[/QUOTEes leave me speechless........AND THAT'S NOT EASY TO DO.........
First off dude relax with your eloquent bull, it might may you feel smarter but it's still bull nontheless. As far as bible references FOOL THIS IS BOXING, dont insult the word with your foolish analogies. So I'm going to put you to the test. Explain your conclusion that I dont meet your standards as a boxing poster. Do I have to go to a UNIVERSITY OF BOXING POSTERS! So explain yourself as to why you find my comments to be nonsense, and please stop with your professorial approach it sounds like a classic case of somebody having their head up their ass. What about the substance of my argument do you disagree with?

Hopkins knocked him out, landed the harder, cleaner, and more effective punches. Displayed great defense and ring generalship. All Joe did was slap puch like some angry broad. he never landed flush on Hopkins. I mean who has? He has been a protected fighter most of his career. To give him more credit after Hopkins destroyed Pavlik is criminal! He ducked Pavlik for years and even recently took the fight with a washed up Roy over Pavlik in his prime. Look he wants the money that roy brings to the table but money doesn't buy credibility. Just a few months ago he was trashing Roy saying he was washed up and only a shadow of the boxer he use to be. Now Joe is holding Roy's nuts like he is still one of the greatest. Let's be real man and stop hyping this good boxer into one of the all time greats.
