roy jones and calzaghe are just looking for a way out. none of them want to face bernard, so they talking about retiring. i mean are you people serious, would you really say calzaghe is one the best all time when you didnt even know him 2 years ago? do you consider his win against hopkins a legitimate victory?. the fact that HBO is calling him one of the greatest of all time is sad.everybody knows that to be considered one of the best in boxing(or any other sport for that matter) you have to prove yourself in AMERICA. if he beats roy jones, would that mean his great. i mean he is fighting a guy in jones that hasnt been the same since tarver rocked his world, a guy that hasnt beaten anybody worth mentioning in 5 years(dont even mention the trinidad fight, tito jus needed money, he didnt train at all).to all you calzaghe fans, if he so good, why not fight hopknis again and actually BEAT him without leaving any doubt about it?. so please dont put calzaghe in no list that has to do with being the best of all time, cuz nobody knew him until his 45th fight. and there may be great fighters in his country, but the whole world knows the best fighters on earth are in america. nobody cares who wins the calzaghe-jones fight, people just want to see if the winner will be brave enough to face the executioner. i dont think they will give him the fight unless bernard pulls an "antonio tarver" type stunt,if he goes to the press conference and calls jones out like tarver did, he will get the fight, cause then the public will force jones to sign the paper. i feel bad for whoever wins this fight, cause they will be hunted down by hopkins. so the loser must feel lucky

Hopkins knocked him out (No he didn't), landed the harder, cleaner, and more effective punches (only for the first 4 rounds; after that, Calzaghe outclassed him, and had far more stamina). Displayed great defense and ring generalship (again, only for the first 4 rounds). All Joe did was slap puch like some angry broad. he never landed flush on Hopkins (You obviously stopped watching after the first 4 rounds). I mean who has? He has been a protected fighter most of his career (So has every champ at some point). To give him more credit after Hopkins destroyed Pavlik is criminal! He ducked Pavlik for years and even recently took the fight with a washed up Roy over Pavlik in his prime (You made this part up completely). Look he wants the money that roy brings to the table but money doesn't buy credibility (Money doesn't bring credibility, but facing a top 10 all-time p4p fighter does). Just a few months ago he was trashing Roy saying he was washed up and only a shadow of the boxer he use to be. (No he wasn't) Now Joe is holding Roy's nuts like he is still one of the greatest. Let's be real man and stop hyping this good boxer into one of the all time greats. (You mean giving him respect? How dare he show class in the smack-talking, poorly educated thug sports world of today...)
Okay, so you said 0 things that were accurate, other than their names.

I mean Hopkins put on a good performance against a prime middleweight champ but the fight took place at Light heavyweight.

If Calzaghe fought and beat Dawson a prime champ in the same weight division as himself then he should recieve more credit IMO.

Before it hapens no need for some B-Hop nuthugger to have a rant when Im only stating a fact!
Bingo. It would be like Calzaghe fighting Felix Sturm at 175, not Chad Dawson. Besides, Calzaghe would probably give him lots of problems. Joe did everything that's expected of a champion: he fought often, upheld all his mandatories, and took on the best around him. Anyone who thinks Kessler wasn't good is blind.

Adamek was 31-0....but then people will tell you that Kessler's unbeaten record meant **** because he hadn't "beaten anybody" so shouldn't the same go for Adamek?. This isn't an attack on Dawson, he's a bright young boxer, it's an attack on the hypocrisy of Calzaghe haters...by the time Calzaghe was 26 he had a similar resume, wins against Eubank and Robin Reid.
Bingo #2. I'm American, and I was rooting for B-Hop, but Joe won that fight. Anyone with a pair of those things called eyes and a brain behind them would know that.

You are dead wrong. It has absolutely nothing to do with Hopkins. Bernard has been a total jerk to both guys, and they owe him nothing. Both have victories over Hopkins. B-Hop needs them for retribution, while they don't need him at all. Let them have their hurrahs; they've earned it. Hopkins, on the other hand, feels like he still has more to prove.

And by the way, Joe is not fighting a 39 year old Roy Jones while he himself is in his prime. Calzaghe is about 3-4 years passed his prime.

so if calzaghe beats jones, you would put him in a "greatest of all time" list? i mean that list contains names like ali, robinson, leonard, hearns, hagler, frazier, foreman .would you put calzaghe on that list after just 2 notable fights on his resume.when you look at his 45 opponents, then only names that jump at you are hopkins and jones. my point is that calzaghe has done nothing in the sport of boxing to be considered anything. he was suppose to wipe the ring with the old man hopkins(remember he had more speed) instead got awarded with a gift dec... and jones beat hopkins in 1993! i mean 1993 was a very long time ago, a LONG time ago.the footage from that fight is so poor it should be in black-and-white. so people saying he doesnt need to fight bhop again cuz he already beat him and jones said bhop doesnt deserve a rematch.so why did tarver deserved a rematch? tarver was a nobody until jones gave him a chance and paid for it.hopkins is a living legend, why doesnt he deserve a rematch? i mean ive never seen a boxer(especially one as gifted as jones) show so much fear for another boxer. in his mind, hes the best boxer that ever existed, so why not fight an "old" man.and then he had the nerve to say that anyone couldve beaten pavlik the way hopkins did, saying he was not impressed cuz pavlik was a nobody.come on yall, what wouldve happen if jones fought pavlik? it would be glen johnson times 10. so he doesnt wanna give bhop his credit, he keeps talkin ****, he keeps disrespecting him but wont fight him. even if you a jones fan, you have to admit deep in your heart, your favorite boxer is behaving like a *****

ROY JONES DID NOT BECOME Bruce "The Mouse" Strauss when he got knocked out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

                    Pavlik IS NOT Ernie Shavers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He might beat Roy if Roy somehow for some reason made middleweight but he would never ever ever run right over Roy not in a million years.

Calzaghe is over rated.. if he fought career is US he'd have many losses.

Calzaghe is not a great as Roy Jones Jr. RJ moved up to heavyweight and won the heavyweight title of the world. The first person to do that in 100 years.
Calzaghe has only had 2 real fights.. Kessler and Hopkins. He got dropped in route to a a SPLIT decision against Hopkins. He outpointed Hopkins slapping. The thing that sticks out the most in that fight is how many times Hopkins buckled Calzaghes knees with his right hand. Roy Jones right hand is much more wicked. RJ has everything Hopkins has and more.. more power and more speed. Regardless of Jones age this will be the best fighter Calzaghe has fought. This is Jones fight to win or lose. Either way the only validation I see for Calzaghe is if he KOs Roy Jones.

Calzaghe is overrated. if he fought career is US he'd have many losses.
