    Hey Chill YODA!!!
Hey, sorry man. I don't want to sound like I'm hatin' on Kess, but that one dude was out of his gourd.

I actually think Kessler is a very good fighter, and although I do feel Pavlik would beat him, I also believe it would be a hard night's work.

The way I see it he has never been bothered in any of his wins and has managed to jus use his big weapons to beat all of his opponents with the exception of Calzaghe, who presented him with challenges that he was not able to overcome. I am not saying that Kelly is not also quite one dimensional but I certainly would be hesitant in saying that Kessler has "more strings to his bow".
Come on now, I know you can see that Kessler is faster and more skilled than Pavlik and may have more one-shot pop. That's all he's saying.

So one could legitimately say Taylor > Calzaghe.
Basing arguments on Neveda judges scorecards. Great.

Holyfield was able to draw with Lewis.

Calzaghe got dropped by a perfect right hand but it was a flash KD, he wasnt hurt at all.

Whats worse, getting dropped while you're slightly off balance or being pummelled and hurt like Taylor did in the late rounds.

Also love how Hopkins at 40/41 is considered "young" in comparison to 43.

Look, I prefer Kessler over Pavlik and I prefer him as a fighter. If they fought I would be rooting for Kessler. But the bottom line is that it is all bull**** until he gets out there and proves it.

Ask yourself this badger, does your opinion of him change if the fight against Calzaghe never happened?

Dont need to, we can look at the majority of other sources who scored it for Calzaghe.

The majority scored the first fight for Hopkins against Taylor.

The funny thing about your avatar is that that punch by Hopkins was landed after the bell when Joe dropped his hands. One of many fouls committed by Hopkins during the fight...........which apparently equates to winning in your book.

Good question. It's actually the Andrade performance, which I saw after the Joe fight that really made me rate Kessler, he looked like an absolute beast. However, I think if he'd never fought Joe, then I'd be more inclined to say he had never been in with top class competition and needed to prove it. I've never seen anyone either box as well or be as competitive against Joe so that performance is important. I'm positive I would till pick him to beat Pavlik come what may. I think I'd find it hard to look past the way he is in many ways a faster, more agile version of Kelly.

I can flip this around too. Does your opinion of Pavlik change if the Taylor fights never happened?

lol majority did not score it for calzaghe. every media outlet scored it for hopkins even setanta's round by round website. and no calzaghe dropped his hands like a ****** and got hit flush right at the bell. flush shots something the great joe should work on landing.
