Jeff Lacy isn't even a has been....He's a never was...Lacy did absolutely nothing to garner all the praise he was recieving pre Calzaghe...Just another example of an overhyped fighter who was expsoed once he got in the ring with his first real test...

The real funny part about the whole thing is this is the guy who Calzaghe beat to become a bonafide star...Doesn't make much sense but thats boxing...

If you're referring to guys like Rubin Williams then yeah, they couldn't expose him. But Lacy has never bested a world beater. EVER. Lacy beat no big names before fighting Calzageh and by the looks of it probably never would have been any good. He could not even lay a glove on Joe, whereas the same cannot be said for some of Joe's European opponents. He was completely outclassed by Joe and was all hype. He would probably have been outclassed by some fo the europeans and even Mundine. The people he KO'd were has-beens or no names. The main problem was that he didn't even win a single round and got beat up so bad I would have thrown in towle after 9. Lacy would never have made it.

Alot of Calzaghe fans are trying to give credit to Calzaghe because of Lacy's poor performances in his recent fights.

Did he really ruin him OR was he just a overmuscled one-punch-at-a-time freak?

My opinion is that he was no better than a Juan Urango - another overmuscled no talent fighter.

Ruin is a strech he destroyed Lacy career hands down. I saw several of Lacy fights before Calzaghe, And the differences was night and day. Now he hesitant, And he pulls his punches. The surgery(shoulder)didn't help him either. I disagree with the Urango comparison.

No your wrong on BOTH fronts - you should've stuck to your first premise because the same argument can be made for your second.

Lacy is overrated...so the guy who beats him is underrated? Makes no sense. Unless it's your opinion that being #2 p4p is underrated.

And perhaps no one has exposed Calzaghe because he's fighting overrated guys like Lacy & Kessler? And old men? Just a thought.

Really, like most illogical Calzaghe fans, you're not happy with the acclaim he's won for himself. You want his name placed alongside the Jones', Hopkins', Toney's. Let it go. It's not happening and for obvious, obvious reasons (except to people like you).
