Lacy might not have been a mini-Tyson or whatever he was hyped as bein, but he was budding as a damn good fighter. The fight wit Joe C was supposed to make it official that his time had arrived. Instead he got one of the worst ass whoopins ever. No doubt that fight changed Lacy's career for the worse, mentally and physically. A pre Joe C Lacy woulda whomped Tsypko, Manfredo, and Espinoza.

Besides, even if everyone felt that way...who cares? They were all wrong. So can you stop trying to pretend they were right so you can feel better? Jeff Lacy sucks. He was never more than decent before Calzaghe, he positively sucks now.Comment

There was a lot of UK posters as well American that gave Joe no shot.Hype can make any fighter seem like a beast,but if you took the time to see some of Lacy's past fights you will notice his lack of boxing skills.His best opponent was a shot Robin Reid.It also had to do with Calzaghe being severly underated at the time of the fight but even now Calzaghe doesn't get that much respect.Originally posted by garryd View PostGod those Americans are a loyal lot lol
