    I cant see Arum offering Floyd 35 million, let alone 50 million....

    Cottos name might get bigger but I still dont think he ll ever be the type of attraction that De La Hoya is...
    True, but I think if Cotto wins this weekend and does it convincingly, calls out PBF after the fight and if HBO promotes it right 24/7 etc. This could be a REALLY big fight with A LOT of money involved. But I guess we will see. IDK, I just want to see that fight and I will be satisfied with PBF and his career. No one can ever say anything if he beats Cotto...ever.

So fight off, I for one am not sad that **** is not happening.

      PBF knows if he fights Cotto it will be for anything between 15-25 million. To me it is starting to seem like damn near everything in boxing is scripted except what happens in the ring. For example on 24/7 with PBF and Hatton. PBF said that he told Ellerbe to make the ****ing fight happen after the **** Hatton said. But in a interview later after the fight I believe somebody from Hatton's camp said they were negoiating PBF vs. Hatton for 3 years. Boxing is starting to have a fake ass story line with the only thing being real is the fight in the ring without corrupt judges.
      good points, but I dont think its THAT BAD....

            Although nobody cared much to see this rematch, who looks like the ******* right now? Floyd let his ego get in the way of him making $35mil+ dollars. That is about 10mil more than he made for his 1st fight with Oscar. Oscar will make at least another 20mil by the end of the year, while Floyd sits on the sidelines kicking himself in the ass about all the money he let pass up. Whatever happened to "if it makes dollars, it makes sense"

              That's it

              See this was going to be the first fight that I sit back and not care who won but just enjoyed a night of boxing........BUT and I mean BUT...Mr. Arum has swayed me to root for the Mexican. Nothing against Cotto but he keeps coming out here talking about Floyd. Man who cares about Floyd right now...he is not in the picture and u keep taking shots at him. OK man.....Now im rooting for A.M. Not that it means anything to him or anybody else but i will root for Cotto to lose. and then the excuse will be that Floyd would never fight the fighters that Cotto will fight. Worry about Berto, Williams, A.M. and leave floyd alone.

                  But regardless, he was STILL offered 35 million....

                  Why would he take 20 million to fight cotto now?

                  Arum will never give Floyd 35+ million

                    Here's a thread i created last month about the whole retirement issue.

                    //krikya360.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=187972

                    Anyone who knows me, knows that i cant stand Floyd "i wanna be like Paris Hilton" Mayweather, but think about it. If Floyd was trying to avoid the Cotto/Margarito winner, why not fight Oscar in Sept, get his payday, THEN retire? A fight with the winner of the Cotto/Margo bout wouldnt be able to be made any sooner than December 2008 anyway.

                    The reason Floyd has retired is because he didnt have his way at the negotiating table with Oscar. Floyd stands 5'7, but his ego is 10ft tall. He really thinks that the 2.4mil ppv's him and Oscar did last year was his own doing! He's even said it himself. Everyone here knows that Oscar can pull in 1mil+ ppv's fighting pretty much any other high profile fighter in the sport. Can Floyd? I dont think so. Floyd feels that because he was the winner of thier first bout, that he has the right to the larger chunk of the purse. While that might sound right, everyone knows that's not how it works in this business. Oscar is still the biggest draw in the sport, and Floyd's ego would'nt let him accept the smaller piece of the pie for the rematch. Like i've said several times before, he overvalues himself as an entertainer.

                    On top of that, the rematch was drawing VERY negative outcry from the boxing community. Outside of the DIEHARD Oscar and Floyd fans, NOBODY wanted to see this rematch. Close or not, there was nothing in thier first fight that warranted the desire to see a rematch. Plain and simple. So i think the combination of not wanting to take a back seat to Oscar AGAIN, and the negative press this fight was receiving, is the reason why Floyd decided to TEMPORARILY retire AGAIN. His lifestyle is too expensive for him to walk away from 15-20mil paydays. UNFORTUNATELY, he will be back. If its to face the winner of Cotto/Marg, then i wont mind, but if he returns to take meaningless fights/rematches, then i'd prefer he stay the **** out the game. I watch boxing to see competitive and entertaining fights. I can give 2 flying ****s how much a fighter makes. To some Floyd fans, that seems to be thier main concern.
