What? We were arguing with posts made by you! You had Pavlik I recall, and were arguing he has a good chance to beat Joe?

Now you don't want to play anymore, so suddenly you affect superiority?

    LMAO

He's also relentless, on paper more so than Pavlik given history.

Joe also has a very tough chin, so I almost find that one more another reason for him winning. Pavliks unlikely to be much more powerful than Kessler, of whom Calzaghe took hard shots from fine. Pavlik having a decent chin won't help him much, as to be honest Calzaghe wouldn't test it much anyway.
Calzaghe might test it more than you think. He's had a few fights where he hasn't hurt his hands, and he might decide to **** a little against another super middle. Whether anyone wants to admit or agree with it, Calzaghe can **** when he wants to, and used to be a decent KO artist. Not devastating one-punch KO power, but enough to badly stun and drop easily. He certainly has the power to hurt Pavlik, or anyone else in the division.

He has a good chance (not 50/50), but that opinion has nothing to do with his country of origin. I'm basing that on what he does in the ring, not where he hangs his hat. That's my point.

Of course it has nothing to do with his country of origin. Who said it did? The opinions of posters here do seem to have a lot to do with their country of origin though, mostly Americans who say things like "Pavlik KO Calzaghe".

Which is why I'm still picking Calzaghe, just saying that Pavlik has a better chance than anyone else in the world of beating Joe. Still not a 50/50 chance, but better than anyone else.

No doubt Joe has beaten more top guys. Personally, I'd put my money on a Calzaghe UD, though I would like to see Pav win. If I had to bet my money, it would be on Calzaghe, though I'd like to see Pavlik win and be a 3 division champ. However, it is definitely a possibility that Pavlik could win. I really expected Calzaghe to blow BHop out and I think I lost a little confidence in him dominating anyone, which at one point I believe.
I agree 100% that Pavlik has a chance to win, he hits hard and might match Joe for workrate. I don't really rate the size of that chance very highly though, for the reasons I've already explained.

Have you seen Kessler's KO rate? Ever notice that Kessler is a masive SMW and Kelly a big MW? Do you factor any facts in at all?
If he said that (haven't read the entire thread yet), then my fellow Missourian is just plain wrong. He might be comparable to Lacy, or close, at least, but Kessler is very heavy handed for his size. Pavlik's power is based on the fact that all his punches are made to hurt, but he doesn't have the one punch power that Kessler does. Can't really think of another SM that does, right now, though I'm sure there are a couple.

Fair enough. Relative to what goes on on this post, we basically agree.

If Calzaghe wouldve gave B-Hop the Lacy treatment it would be safe to say that he would beat Pavlik easily.

Pavlik has great power and knockout ability, I think alot of the Calzaghe fans are underestimating him. Taylor was a BUSY fighter and still Kelly was able to take it to him. Calzaghe didnt show me the same busyness in the B-Hop fight as he usually does in most of his fights.

It could go either way but we have to remember now Kelly has to move up in weight and Calzaghe has to go back down.

This will be a great fight im excited to see what happens after this weekend

He didn't do to Hops what he did to Lacy, or perform in the same way, because they're completely different fighters dude. Like comparing chalk with brie. A much more accurate comparison ppl have been going off is Kessler.
