So why has Floyd twice offered to fight in the UK and then back-tracked?

Why is it some Hatton fans cant accept this, there is always some excuse, or some mitigating circumstances behind him turning down mayweather, not an ounce of logic from some of these people.

How can we be sure he wants the fight, when he said the same thing before and turned it down?

    Simple.
He's given his reasons for turning down the fights at the time and they're not unreasonable, you just choose to brush them off as bull****.

Mayweather's shifted the goal posts a couple of times which has put the fight back. Hatton doesn't need to sing to Floyd's tune unless he wants to. He's done more than ok without Floyd so far.

**** Witter. That's just an irrelevant, convenient line that people like you use to try and bash Hatton. Witter was only of interest to Hatton before he got established at world level. He still hasn't beaten a world class opponent at 33 years of age FFS. Add to that the fact that any fight involving him is pretty much guaranteed to be a stinker and I struggle to understand why anyone would wish for that fight.

Of course he wants Floyd. There's no reason to say it otherwise.

So you are you counting Mayweather saying

"Just cos im retired in the US doesnt mean i cant fight in the UK"

You call that an offer? You dont think he was talking ****, you thinks thats a conclusive offer to go to england.

Because Ray Hatton and just about anyone else who knows boxing will tell you there is nearly no way this fight could ever happen anywhere else but america.

But yeah, if you belive mayweather ducked hatton, fair enough, i can tell you, you are highly misinformed,

Oncemore if ricky hatton can get in the ring with Urango, he can get in the ring with WBC champ Witter, its that simple.

Its about facts, Floyd said he would fight Hatton,

He has offered Hatton the fight about 3 times now.

The first two times Hatton declined,

Now mayweather has offered Hatton the fight for the third time.

I'll be honest, that doesnt seem like the behaviour of a fighter who doesnt want to fight.

As far as Ricky Definately wanting the fight with mayweather.

I didnt know when a fighter turns down a fight twice that means he really wants it.

You're clearly new to the sport so I'll cut you some slack.

Back in 2005 Floyd offered to KO Hatton in his back yard but reneged after the Tszyu fight. And don't give me the bull**** about lack of protection from the refs in the UK - exactly the same things go on in US rings all the time.

You can spin Floyd's latest offer however you like. It's clear to most people what he was implying though.

Nobody's really ducked anyone. They've both just done things how they wanted to. It's your problem if you want to bury your head in the sand and deny the reasonable circumstances surrounding the fight not being made previously. There's nothing factual in anything that you've posted that points to flat out ducking.

Floyd decided he didn't want to fight in the UK or hang around at 140. Hatton decided he didn't want to jump straight into a fight with Floyd without acclimatising to things in the US or to fight him with a court case **** in the middle of his training camp.

Hatton can make more money with a DLH or Cotto fight so he doesn't need Floyd. Of course he wants him, that's why he's got Hobson negotiating the fight right now.

Your comments on the other thread were bollocks BTW. No way would Hobson be spending all this time and money negotiating the fight unless he was already under instructions from Hatton's camp.

Right, so Hatton will re-sign with Hobson next fight then wont he?

Because he says he wants the fight.

Im not new to the sport, you acutally think Hatton can fight DLH

I think most people can agree DLH is just trying to **** with floyd, i dont think de la hoya can make 147.

So Hatton saying he wants to fight floyd then turning down two offers isnt ducking?

Nothing factual to prove flat out ducking?

Not even the bit where hatton says he wants to fight maweather in his deal with HBO

Then says he never intended to fight him as that part of that deal at all.

Not even the bit where he admitted he asked for 13 million to fight mayweather.

Thats, being reasonable, thats not ducking right?

Okay then, ive got a few things to do now, ill leave you to talk about how hatton can fight De La Hoya, since you genuinely believe de la hoya is gonna drop to 147 and come to the uk to fight hatton.

          Laters.

You've lost it mate. You're arguing like a 13 year old and repeating the same bollocks over and over. And go easy on the smiley's, they just make you look like an over-excited gimp.

Hatton's a free agent. He can use a different promoter for every fight if he chooses. My guess is that Warren will be in on his next fight in the UK but he'll continue to use Hobson for fights in the US.

Why are you so hung up about whether he fought him in his 3 fight HBO deal or not? It's happening 1 fight later FFS. He only ever said Floyd was a possibilty for the 3rd fight, he didn't say anything definite. The DLH fight scuppered any possibilty of that happening anyway so blame Floyd for that one, peewee.

DLH has said he can still make 147. Are you choosing not to believe this too? Has your opinion got any basis whatsoever? I'd like to go along with you but I just can't give a noob's opinion more weight than Oscar's, sorry.

$13m won't seem so unreasonable after the purses for this fight are announced - I'd be surprised if Hatton sees less than $10m all in. I would call it ducking if Floyd came back with a fair counter-offer and that was refused, but that's not what happened.

The tricky thing is that while Hobson is saying that Hatton is going to fight Mayweather you're happy to suggest that Hobson is not Hatton's promoter. However if Hobson were to say that Hatton will fight, for example, Paul Malignaggi next, then $in and the gang will be all over it like flies on ****.

I think he really does, and the proof is in the fact that despite the end-all, be-all of boxing right now, DLH, has basically called him out, he is still in talks with Team Mayweather.

If he didn't want the fight, he would say "Floyd doesn't want to make the fight, so I'm moving on," and then he would start negotiations with DLH...for Hatton, that's a fight worth waiting for, obviously.

But DLH has started a mini-campaign about a Hatton fight, and still apparently negotiations are still moving forward with Mayweather. For boxing fans this is great, because it may force DLH to try and make a Cotto fight if Cotto beats Mosley...how awesome would that be?

Don't bring Junior Cumspitter into the equation, he doesn't deserve to ever get the fight with Hatton.

I think it's being overthought. If Hatton wants Mayweather, it can happen. No matter what anyone says, Mayweather deserves the terms because he is the reigning champion. It's that simple. When you are not the champion, you generally have to acquiesce to the demands of the champion for a shot at becoming the champion. I think on paper, it should be easy to accomplish.

As far as Hatton really wanting to fight? Maybe, maybe not. It could be his advisors do not want him to fight. I have seen it many times where a trainer or an advisor advises his fighter against a certain opponent for a reason no doubt. Maybe they do not feel Hatton is ready, while Hatton personally may disagree.

Whatever the case may be, I think Hatton is a respectful guy and I was surprised when he was speaking negatively about Floyd. I guess he did not think Floyd would react so swiftly to the statements.

Whatever. I do hope they fight. I will keep my hopes up until it's concretely known that it will not happen.
