most of the bags i seen are like that and this is consider to be one of the heaviest in the market.

i heard that Rocky Marciano heavy bag is 300 pounds something like that.

a person wieght is distrubut around his body and it not one part of his body that is the weight but as whole so for example the upper body may weight less than lower body and if someone is equalty spread then it more than the wieght of the most oppenet upper body.

that is what i think but who knows

i have heard that tyson has the hardest punch on record at 1750 psi. i dont know whether its true though. i think a lot of people think that tysons power is overrated because holmes said so. but a lot of tysons opponents like tubbs, spinks, bruno, saverese and seldon say that tyson had unbelievable power.

Tyson, although naturally a hard puncher, generated such power through his technique, his combinations, leverage etc.

Whereas Shavers was able to KO people without any of that. He had raw power.

Tyson was an awsome puncher, but it was his style that was so impressive. Shavers wasnt a great boxer, nor great to watch, but he could KO opponents at any time.

No one can really say one is more powerful than the other unless they are both measured under test conditions.

Yea also Rahman said Sanders is the hardest punchers he's ever faced, guess what I didn't see Sanders knocking Rahman out the way Lewis did.

Rahman also said James Toney hits harder then Holyfield, Toney is my favorite fighter but do I believe Rahman, no sir!

                Just to clafify some ****.

Force = mass x acceleration... that however is if other things are equal and constant
You're right in that the formula of force doesn't equate to punching power. The calculation of force related to projectiles and yes, the velocity is the major factor in calculation force. But a punch is not a projectile, it has different physics than, say, a bullet. Punching power is more about the pressure it exerts at point of impact than the force.

When Tyson slowed down to Shaver's speed in the McBride and Williams fights we saw with our own eyes just how effective he was with raw power alone.

No his punch wasn't what it has been built up to be, it just seemed that way when bolstered by his style and his other attributes. Quickness, timing, and accuracy. A heavyweight with average power would have scored major knockouts with those attributes. Tyson with his very good but not great power, and all of those assets, is a tough fight for anyone.

It's my opinion that Shavers, Baer or Foreman even at 50 would have walked through the weak chinned McBride. Tyson's power alone was very good but not great, or he would have seriously messed him up with raw power alone with the first punch he connected with.

Tyson in his prime was explosive, and a definite knockout artist but I don't think the actual force he produced is anything like what a Baer, Foreman, Shavers, etc were capable of.
