What does it do for wlad's legacy if he avenges loss to tyson fury

Seems almost certain that wlad and fury will have a rematch next spring.

What does it do for wlad's legacy if

    1- he ko's fury rather quickly ala lennox-Rahman 2

    2- he loses the rematch

3- Doesnt fight again and retires

4- pulls a mike tyson and bites fury's ear off

    Please discuss

Im torn on this point...torn like Evander's ear after a Tyson fight... My biggest problem is also an admitted bias on my part: When I look at Vladimere Klitschko fight, I simply do not see much of any skills aside from the ability to jab and punch very well, when his feet are set. I don't see any ability to fight inside, I don't see any footwork, or ability to position oneself for a big punch, I don't see counter punching ability...rather just flinching and panic setting in, I don't see any ring generalmanship to speak of, I don't see much endurance and I have never seen Vladimere Klitschko make an adjustment during a fight.

With this said, I don't know how I would feel about his legacy if he manages to beat Fury. If Fury stands still and slugs it out with Vlad I dont know how much credit I can give Vlad frankly and I don't see any other way Vlad beats Fury. If Vlad comes out mobil, with skills to set his punches up, footwork to break Fury down, and fighting well at all ranges, countering Fury...If Vlad could do ANY of these things, not all of them! I would be amazed and give him credit where credit is due.

I think it would do quite a lot for his legacy because of a few reasons.

Wlad's been fighting/clinching scared since his loss to Brewster. From what we saw in the fight against Fury, his only success in the fight came when he was actually attacking consistently(round 12). Two problems there in the rematch: 1-if he's offensive for a change he's in danger of getting clipped himself and 2-In order for him to even attempt that he would need to show more courage than he's shown in a decade. 3-Fury will be even more confident while Wlad's confidence may be shot.

So it's quite a challenge for him and if he manages to do it, he should get some serious props.

The rematch will go the same as the first fight.Nothing will change nor will anything drastic happen.Fury has Klitshko beaten mentally as well as physically. When a fighter is beaten mentally like Klitschko they don't usally come back with a vengence.

I think his status is intact! He is at an age when most fighters are done but he hasn't exactly extended himself in years. His skill level has increased slightly since he a contender but that still a very low level compared to ATG's.
He should be given high marks for defending his titles and being a relatively
active heavy but as far as praise as an ATG thats up to the individual fans.
For me if he didn't have Manny to teach him to "box tall" he would have lost a few more than he did. He is one dimensional and it shouldn't be recognized as
a talent his height is genetic.
Good competitor, good punch, fair chin and good longevity. Nothing great!
As to Fury win or loose means nothing, Fury to date has a long way to go before grading him. Beating a 40 year old boxer isn't a huge accomplishment.

It would be a nice win because Wladimir is so far past his prime now.

He is old so a loss wouldnt mean that much. A win would be Big though. Bigger than Ali over Spinks presuming that Fury Will have a better career than Leon.

It would help his legacy some but if Fury loses people might say he wasn't that good to begin with. I doubt he will lose though.
