Tyson just obliterated fools back in the day. He fought everybody he could though. My beef with calzaghe is not only his fans, but that he waited until Hopkins & Jones were old to fight them. I think Hopkins won that fight but it was close but obviously Hopkins would have beat him convincingly in his prime. Mikkel Kessler is his biggest win in my eyes but their is an argument that Calzaghe just exposed him because Kessler hasn't done anything since. Also Ive heard he ducked Glenn Johnson.

But if Calzaghe would have stayed in the game longer, and dominated this super six then it would be a no brainer Calzaghe win for me. But of course once he leaves the division gets good. Not his fault though I guess.

Pretty close, but I'm saying Tyson because the man was straight vicious.

This is not a bad post ...even tho you let a little hate in lol
I dont think it was Calzaghes fault he didnt face Jones or Hopkins sooner...i mean its a well known fact Hopkins had his chance once to fight Joe and pulled out to take less money against lesser opponent ...as for calzaghe ducking Jones ...come on....Jones list of avoidance over top fighters are a world record,Collins,Benn,Eubank,Michalczewski ..most called him out publicly ...god Collins even said he was gonna have to know on roys front door to get and answer ...Jones never looked like fighting any of those champions , even tho most was of or within the same weight

Eubank, Benn, Collins... i cant ever recall any of those 3 ever wanting to fight Roy Jones and if they had ever fought him Roy would have beaten all 3 of them on the same night.. Eubank & Ben could not even beat Sugarboy Malinga....James Toney called them out on national TV and they sat there shaking with fear

Everyone knows Tyson's career went down hill after the Spinks fight. Talk about him when he was at his peak. He was 10 times better and more exciting than Calslapy ever was.

collins called out Jones all the time,in US and uk press ...google it !
Jones avoided Michalczewski like a bad case of the flu ...wouldn't even speak of fighting him ,even tho they where the same weight fighting the same opponents..jones went on record with the British press saying he wouldn't fight Michalczewski for 3 million pounds sterling ...
BTW Sugarboy Malinga never beat Eubank or Benn first time around..hes got one win over Benn 2nd time around on the tail end of Benn career..but that was after benns Mclellan fight so that dont mean much now does it !

Malinga schooled both Eubank & Benn you need to go watch the fights instead of Boxrec... £3 million pounds sterling for Roy Jones was "chicken feed" the guy was the best fighter in the world and Dariusz would not leave Germany to fight... Collins was a bag of duff.

At any rate, Tyson beat (and often dominated) more good fighters than Calzaghe did, so I'd rate Tyson's higher.
ehh but the fight was contraversial. Calzaghe did a lot, a lot of of missing that is.

Calzaghe won the crowd but Hopkins one the fight.

fact is, it's his best win and it's a very close one.
