    Don King the greatest promoter ever

    The Boxing Fans greatest friend was Don King the best promoter in boxing history - Don King during the 1980s & 90s would put boxing shows on PPV that are simply unheard of in today's boxing world, Don King would put on 5 or 6 world title fights all on the same show on the same night for the cost of ?0 yet today we get one alphabet world title and a couple of bouts featuring `Tomato-can's` at a cost of ?6.99 which is laughable and the sole reason why boxing is dying as a mainstream sport. Don King would showcase fighters like Azumah Nelson, Julio cesar Chavez, Julian Jackson, Terry Norris, Meldrick Taylor, Gerald McClellan, Ricardo Lopez, Mike Tyson all on the same night on the same boxing show, Don King was the greatest promoter in the history of boxing.

    Don King could only do such amazing things because, he screwed so many people over it's unbelievable.

      It's common knowledge that he is the greatest promoter in history based on the fights he put together.

        Yes he had a very good system "OPM" Other Peoples Money. Have you seen what he did to your man Tyson? If not buy the movie called "Tyson" in which he talks about his life.

          It is Don King who made great fighters get paid the money they deserve. Before him guys were fighting 3-10 times a month killing themselves just to sc**** by.

          He was in charge of all of Mike's finances, which is how he was able to steal from him. That doesn't change the fact that he put on the greatest bouts in boxing history.

                I'm with Marvelous. King would put on awesome shows, but only by leeching the hell out of his fighters.

                    And the reason they ALWAYS went back, and the reason why fighters, who knew his reputation, still signed with him is because even when getting jipped by Don King, he was still making you more money than anybody else could.
