Did Rid**** Bowe Duck Lennox Lewis?

No he didn't, he ducked the self-syled 'humble servant of boxing' and his pimp-like accomplice.. Sulaiman and King (the WBC) is who he ducked.. That's why he threw their belt in the bin.. Lewis and Bowe both wanted the fight until Bowe found out he was about to be shafted, and then sought a better deal with the other sanctioning bodies.. Bowe lost the other 2 belts back to Holyfield and due to the 'bin rage' incident, was frozen out by the WBC.. That's why he went and fought for the WBO and won their title, which he gave Lewis the opportunity to fight for after Lennox had lost to McCall.. At the time (95) Lewis was working his way back towards a rematch with McCall.. He was hell-bent on revenge and didn't want to jeopardize his chances by upsetting the WBC...
Seriously, you can blame the two biggest crooks in the history of boxing for this..
I believe it may have changed the whole way we view things now.. I don't think it's unfair to suggest there would have been a possible trilogy between the two, and I also don't think it's unfair to say, Bowe may have got the better of it.. Lewis would then have been forced into the mix with a prime Holyfield and a much younger version of Tyson..
..............................Then that's what I'd call a Heavyweight Division!
Bowe and Lewis are by far the best 2 'Big HW's' to lace em up, and to suggest that either was scared of the other is utterly ridiculous.. The only blame that can be placed on each fighter is:-
LEWIS - For being King's *****
BOWE - For not giving the belt back nicely
CONCLUSION - WBC priced themselves out of it with Bowe

Its after 4:30 and I've had many drinks.. I am extremely drunk right now, and I have accidentally voted "yes" when I didn't mean to. I meant to vote Bowe never ducked Lewis - he never had any reason to.

Im not sure, but if you put a gun to my head and asked me who I think was ducking more Id say Bowe(because of the trash incident and a few other things).
Mickey Malone just explained how Lennox was hellbent on revenge to get another shot at Mccall. Lennox had a similar intensity to get back at Rahman, and even Biggs from the Olympics.
If a fighter feels he couldve won, he is going to chase the rematch come hell or high-water. I never got that intensity from Bowe....If Bowe felt that he was shortchanged in his Olympic match against Lennox, he shouldve done everything in his power to make the fight happen...Demanding 75/25 is not making the fight happen. Im not sure if he really wanted a 2nd match with Lewis, but thats just my opinion. Only God knows...

And I can assure you, both were desperate to put the Olympic controversy to rest once and for all.. What with Tyson getting ****** up and a massive tax bill infront of him, King was having it a lot tougher than usual & started moving the goalposts and asking Bowe to sign more than one differring contract.. He'd just stiffed Tim Witherspoon in the same way, and Bowe wasn't having none of it..
Bowe being an undisputed champion had 3 belts wrapped around his waist, and the only way he could rid himself of King, was by relinquishing the WBC version, but because he was angered by their attempts to rip him off, he didn't hand it back very nicely..
He also reckoned it would anger Lewis into chasing him, but that's where King had the last laugh because once he'd beaten Tucker, he got Lewis's signature on a WBC contract that froze out Bowe.
Bowe had already sought a more trustworthy deal with the other sanctioning bodies; the better deals being - Easy defenses against Dokes and Ferguson, thus freezing out King.
Bowe left King and WBC in the ****.. The best they could offer Lewis was less money against King's only other half decent HW Tony Tucker, so Lewis took it because he was only interested in winning the belt..
Bowe then lost the other 2 belts back to Holyfield and due to the 'bin rage' incident, was still frozen out by the WBC..
Next, Bowe won the WBO title from Herbie Hyde and called out Lewis who by then had lost his WBC belt to McCall..
At the time (95) Lewis was working his way back towards a rematch with McCall.. He was hell-bent on revenge and didn't want to jeopardize his chances by upsetting the WBC.. McCall after all, was their reigning champion and one of King's fighters.. Lewis was focused on McCall and knew he could beat him.. Fighting Bowe may well have left him out in the cold..
You can blame these two for the fight never happening - Don King and Jose Sulaiman.. (Sulaiman = King = Sulaiman = King)
CONCLUSION - WBC priced themselves out of it with Bowe

1: They give 1-2% of their purse to the sanctioning body everytime they defend the belt
2: They fight a mandatory challenger at least once per year

Almost immediately, Rid**** signed a deal with HBO and TVKO to carry and promote and televise his fights. It was a package deal worth $100 million should Bowe keep winning. Bowe had begun to live the life of the world heavyweight champion. He did the traditional talk show rounds, shadowboxing with David Letterman and Regis Philbin. He had his own video game and other endorsements. The public took to Bowe, he was far more charming a champion than his Brooklyn counterpart Mike Tyson.
Bowe was never a King fighter
