If Fury and Wilder go at it for a 4th time I'm gonna go against all logic and forecast a sudden shocking Wilder win.

Have to respect Wilder for his defiance. I'll go with Wilder too. Dreadful KO, early.Hooded Terror Willow The Wisp like this.

The Arabs!
This whole Arab thing about entering the world stage.
For them a big fight, is a big fight. Rankings, scantioning belt tiles, even worthiness, really are not important to their agenda.
My prediction: if Fury-Wilder happens, it happens in the sand of the desert, not up the grove in England.
The Arabs came close once with Fury.
Fury, is to their mind, the attraction so they would likely let him pick any opponent he wants which means if he wants Wilder he can have him.
I doubt Vegas would want to buy into Fury-Wilder IV.
They, the Arabs bought their way into the World Cup. The Saudi Arabia have bought their way into the 2030 Olympics Winter Games. (I don't understand that either.)
A big fight in the sand is coming, sooner or later. Maybe this one.

Klitschko hit lists. I think Usyk and Joshua's names are mandatory to check off before Fury checks out of the game, and the fertile division offers pleny of excellent opportunities to build well onto that if he chooses to.Hooded Terror Slugfester like this.

Originally posted by Willow The Wisp View PostThis is the History section, so let's explore the historical ramifications of Tyson Fury reportedly selecting long time nemesis Wilder as his next opponent.
First, I'll rush to point out that pre-signing news is very often BS, and almost always a boring waste of time.
Nevertheless, I want to get in a comment on this matchup before it turns to dust, as so many of these "news scoops" do.
So Andy Ruiz Jr has encouraged some standard, life savings draining legal issues that may reder him unavailable.
The talk has now become a fourth meeting between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
Is Wilder a worthy opponent? Yes, without a doubt. He's givin Fury two wars, knocked him down 4 times and efficiently out once, depending on your stopwatch accuracy. He's held him to a draw in one of their three encounters; and performances over time have placed him a full level over contemporaries Anthony Joshua, Andy Ruiz, Oleksandr Usyk, Joe Joyce and Zhilei Zhang.
Fans might argue some of the latter claim, but experts can not.
But is Wilder IV a mistake for team Fury if the intention is optimally crafting your legacy and dominating your era?
Most definitely!
While their series has been the Ali-Frazier or Holyfield-Bowe of this era, you have to look at the 2-0-1 results in favor of Fury as a "been there, done that" proposition.
The excitement of their series, the Lazarus act in the first battle, the surprising dominance of the 2nd and the return to form for Wilder in the 3rd chapter; very much a classic edition to the long and rich history of the sport. But it's HISTORY. It's been done, and done again, and again. Literally.
Unless I'm mistaken. What the public would much, much rather see, in no particular order is:
Fury vs. Joshua I
Wilder vs. Joshua I
Fury vs. Usyk I
Fury vs. Zhang I (in China)
Fury vs. Ruiz I
Wilder vs. Ruiz I
Fury vs. Joyce I
Wilder vs. Joyce I
Fury vs. Hrgovic I
Joshua vs. Joyce I
Joshua vs. Zhang I
Fury vs. Anderson I (when ripened)
....And there may be More!
How should today's big boys play it out?
My picks for the below fights if the happen before 3-2024 are:
Fury vs. Joshua I >> Fury
Wilder vs. Joshua I >> Joshua
Fury vs. Usyk I >> Usky
Fury vs. Zhang I (in China) >> Zhang
Fury vs. Ruiz I >> Depends on the scales! In general I like Fury.
Wilder vs. Ruiz I >> Ruiz
Fury vs. Joyce I >> Joyce
Wilder vs. Joyce I >> Joyce.
Fury vs. Hrgovic I >> Hrgovic
Joshua vs. Joyce I >> Joshua
Joshua vs. Zhang I >> Zhang
Fury vs. Anderson I (when ripened) >> Hrgovic
Usky vs Hrgovic? I don't know right now, but in two years I'd pick Hrgovic.
In three years the divisions top 5 fighter in the division will be:
Hrgovic
Anderson
Jalolov
Hovhannisyan
Petvovsky
Now of the only Hrgovic has reached the top level so far. So I picked young guys with the potential to be great. Most other name fights today will be OLD in three years. To old to be taken seriously.

Glad we're finally able to talk about some current guys in this section. Because you can't really have intelligent discussions in the other section about boxing. Because whether it happened yesterday or decades ago, it's still history.Willow The Wisp likes this.

I cannot get over how fat Fury has decided to become. Its commensurate to his ego. When I think of the next two years I hope to see the lineal king making the most of it by paring down some 20lbs and mixing matters up with the likes of Usyk, ZZ, Bakole, Hrgovic and perhaps Ruiz. Usyk and ZZ as first and second. The rest in no particular order. In fact, scratch Ruiz and insert Anderson. He's compelling and always ready to go hard.
If there's a Wilder IV, it'll be Pacquiao/Marquez IV all over again. Mark my words. Fury's arrogance will see to it.
